Just to clear this up, by my count there are 44 players from the 2005 USC(19) and Texas(25) teams on NFL rosters today, not including players who redshirted that year or who were injured for the title game.
Another 3 or so Texas players and a few Trojans hung on rosters for a while, but aren't currently signed. And several other players from both teams were drafted or signed free agent contracts and went to training camps but didn't maintain a roster spot.
The 12 players drafted so far for Florida and Bama is definitely impressive, and there are still 3 classes to add down the line, but these players still have to make rosters. So this portion of the debate won't really be settled for another 3 years.

Arkansas is better than Florida. They beat them last year!!! They just couldn't beat the crooked officials.

Don't come here telling us "I told you so"

No offense playa but after reading the shite this poster caught by everyone, I don't blame him for coming back to prove his point. This was probably the most hyped "SEC title game" anyway and well deserved.

Wow...thread of the week. We should just save it. Apparently if you have a remotely bright future in college, you are definitely an NFL star.
How many people saw Antonio Langham, Danny Weurffel, Heath Shuler, etc, as busts during the 90's?
Seriously...Richardson, Ingram, etc...a school will do damn good to have half those guys stay in the league with long, healthy, productive careers. Yeah...health, it's an issue.
And the kid has no clue about 71' Nebraska...how the frick did this manage 13 pages?
...he was born yesterday it seems.

That sure was the most fun game I ever watched besides Ole Miss vs. LSU 2009.

Didn't you hear? This board has come to the consensus that anything before 1980 is irrelevant.

Good job, buddy!
I've noticed not a single person who called you names and called your bluff has even the slightest courtesy to come back and take their arse-kicking like a man! I'd LOVE to hear their responses/excuses.

The reading comprehension by Bama fans has been atrocious since this thread was bumped. Yes, he did win his bet with Arrakis. His original claim is still unbelievably delusional. Or idiotic, take your pick. I'm sure next season Alabama will play another "OMG GREATEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL MATCHUP OF ALL TIME OMFG!!!!!"

You're on the SEC Rant, you're gonna deal with them. It's getting to the point where it might just be best to ignore them, sort of like what people do with the Tiger Rant in general.

1988: Florida State-Miami. 57 future NFL pros played in that game. Just an ungodly amount of talent on those two rosters. Last year's national championship game between Oklahoma and Florida as well as the 2002 national championship game with Ohio State and Miami were pretty stacked as well.

My point is that it doesn't matter who is drafted, it matters how they pan out, at least for this thread to truly hold water.
And that's beside the fact that the level of hype a game receives doesn't mean everyone gets drafted high.

For some reason I believe that this guy never played a down of football in his life.

The kid saved you $1900. You now are exposed for the arrogant dbag most here agree that you are. You should be kissing his hairy sack for doing you a favor.

I think it is very reasonable to believe that of the two combined rosters up to 15 will go in the first round of the draft in the next few years.
1/3rd of the way there. 5 taken first round between the two this year.
