You actually have to out score your opponent to win, proven fact

Love LSU but I’m far from a homer. I’m honestly more worried about the A$M game than meeting UGA in Atlanta.

Either way it will be a great game with the team who commits the least number of turnovers winning.

Not in this age of college football. You must score and score often.

That claim gets thrown around a lot so let's check it out with the past 5 national title games

Clemson 44 Alabama 16
Alabama 26 Georgia 23 OT
Clemson 35 Alabama 31
Alabama 45 Clemson 40
Ohio State 42 Oregon 20

Outside of a couple years the losing team didn't score above 24 so the idea that that Big XII styles of play is now what's needed is asinine especially when Oklahoma has lost to Georgia and Oklahoma the past two years

[quote]Best defense in the sec? Easy, UGA. Next question

Can you list the Qb's this vaunted Ga. defense has played against? The only one with a pulse is Notre Dame QB. You will be facing a PRO in Joe Burrow. GOOD LUCK.

Yes. But a far shittier offense.

No you can’t and I it doesn’t. It used to, but the game has changed.

AU scored more on LSU’s D than GA but it’s understandable why OP focuses on D with this common opponent bc the real question concerns offense.

If LSU is God’s gift to O, why did they only score 23 at home to win by a measly 3 when GA, whom OP claims has a shite offense, scored 21 at a packed Jordan-Hare & won by 7?

Why is that? Setting aside the fact that Georgia is a much better football team, we have A&M at home and Georgia in their back yard.

Now let’s do points.

So you're saying Grantham has the #2 defense in the SEC?

This is true. Just look at all those championships LSU won with top 10 defenses and no offense.

Yep — our latest two NCs had offenses that were much better than Georgia’s this year.

Also notice that the winning team scored 35+ in every game but one...how many times this year has Georgia scored 35 vs a power 5 team?

Once, vs Tennessee. 1/8 games against P5 teams has UGA scored 35.

The OP's take on this is just plain bunk.

Not even the worst offense in the West but either way, just a big, steaming pile of take.

Maybe but against Auburn we had 12 series that netted a combined 20 yards. The playcalling was moronic. It was three and out over and over. No matter what the line is, I'm betting LSU.
