I would love to play them again. They worked us the past two head to head matches, second loss was all forgotten a few weeks later when we beat Spurrier in the swamp

What's your opinion of the '05 Bama D? Underrated greatness, or just not many points allowed because other teams knew they didn't need to score many points?

I also think last year's Gator D is pretty underrated.

Also, just FYI, here are the defenses that allowed less than 10 ppg in regular season SEC play since 1967...

Monster D's in the SEC Since 1967
(Team, Year, Regular Season SEC Record, PA, Avg. PA, Conf. PA Avg.)
UGA, 1968, 5-0-1, 47, 7.83, 16.04
LSU, 1970, 5-0, 49, 9.80, 21.45
UT, 1970, 4-1, 49, 9.80, 21.45
UA, 1971, 7-0, 45, 6.43, 19.91
UGA, 1971, 5-1, 56, 9.33, 19.91
UT, 1972, 4-2, 44, 7.33, 16.16
UA, 1973, 8-0, 70, 8.75, 19.50
UA, 1974, 6-0, 50, 8.33, 19.55
UA, 1975, 6-0, 40, 6.67, 16.90
UF, 1975, 5-1, 47, 7.83, 16.90
UGA, 1976, 5-1, 55, 9.17, 18.81
UK, 1977, 6-0, 50, 8.33, 20.05
UA, 1979, 6-0, 45, 7.50, 20.20
UA, 1980, 6-1, 66, 9.43, 20.89
LSU, 1985, 4-1-1, 56, 9.33, 20.03
AU, 1987, 5-0-1, 59, 9.83, 23.17
AU, 1988, 6-1, 43, 6.14, 19.71
AU, 1989, 6-1, 69, 9.86, 20.70
UA, 1992, 8-0, 78, 9.75, 20.18

Bama in '05 allowed only 10.125 ppg in regulation for SEC games, which is the best since 1992.

i have objectively studied this issue as it was layed before us and i can safely say that may fair and balanced opinion is that the 03 tigers were superior in my opinion. and also lsu rules....bama drools. totally unbiased.

LSU '03. I bet opposing QBs from that year still have night terrors from facing that nightmare defense

It was amazing how every QB had his season-worst game playing LSU. I think the only one who completed over 50% was just throwing short outs and didn't even pass for 100 yards.
