How in the world can an Arkansas fan say with a straight face that Petrino is on the same level as Miles?

Y'all are some serious homers if you really think that.

Football - Spurrier - 1st 11-win season, SEC East Title, highest finish of any Gamecock team in the polls, players setting a bunch of school records

No national title? God, Spurrier sucks. Remember winning NCs in football at South Carolina or Arkansas isn't any more difficult than winning them at Alabama or LSU

Because when it comes to actual coaching ability they are equals. And that's being kind to Miles.

When has Petrino ever been nationally lampooned for weeks on end for a snafu during a game? The only such incident I can think of is the For You My Friend.

Name one time when national pundits made fun of Petrino for an in-game frick up.

Have you not heard he is the best X's and O's coach in the country? Who cares that he can't land elite talent to win a national championship, the guy knows his shite

soooo...

Arkansas=Louisiana in terms of SEC talent produced per year?

Arkansas=LSU in terms of program history and prestige?

Got it.

Isn't Les Miles an offensive coach by nature? Never would have guessed from the way his teams rely on outstanding defense and his offenses consistently suck donkey penis.

I mean I agree that he's an elite offensive mind but that doesn't = being an elite head coach.

I mean you're just focusing on Miles' 1 or 2 lowlights and ignoring all his success. You're being intellectually dishonest.

They have sucked the past few years, but they still manage to look like the Saints when they play Arkansas

hey Rex..since the beginning of this thread did not say what sports I named Sarah who is the Gymnastics coach and has been there around 30 years..She has won around 5 NC's...Decided to throw her out there since Bama baseball coach may not be a homerun.

Petrino is one of only 3 coaches to take different teams to BCS bowls. The other two are Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. Pretty good company I'd say.

I'm not saying he isn't a good coach. He's proved that he is. In just saying that trying to say he's as good or better than a guy with Miles' resume is sort of shocking and makes me feel like you're being a homer.

Until BP wins the sec west, then I would think you would have a hard time saying he is better as a FB coach then Les and Nick..There is a lot more to being a head coach then x's and o's. So if that is all you are basing things on then you are comparing an apple to an orange. People can laugh all they want at Les, but whatever he is doing is working.

Scoring against Arkansas' defense really isn't much of an accomplishment. Especially if you're playing behind a defense that can keep Arkansas' offense off the field. Let's talk about the performance of Miles' offensive juggernaut against the only elite defense they faced.
