Why would I care anyway. He signs with LSU and he already has 3 titles. Then he's at LSU forever. He wanted NFL at the time and there's no doubt about it.

And then you show articles where he told LSU to pound sand? Sounds like Petrino turned you boys down
At least stick to 1 story brah

Petrino, 43, signed a new deal last Tuesday that will pay him $1 million a year -- nearly doubling his old salary -- and assured members of Louisville's athletics association board that he wasn't going anywhere."I'm looking forward to the upcoming years," he said last week. "This is the place I want to be; this is the place my family wants to be. We're looking forward to the future."The coach's new contract, like the old one, runs through the 2010 season. He'll also earn a $1 million bonus if he stays through the 2007 season.
So he signed this before he new LSU was interested, yet still told fans he wasn't going to a job that wasn't even on the table? Right...

Louisville's Bobby Petrino, who has been mentioned as a candidate for several major coaching jobs in the last month and recently signed a new contract to remain with the Cardinals

Heres the next part in future tense

has met with LSU to discuss its coaching vacancy.
LSU asked for and received permission in recent days to speak with Petrino, ESPN.com's Pat Forde reported reported Monday and the school confirmed Tuesday.
If that wasnt enough read this
quote:\
The Tigers' job came open when Nick Saban announced Saturday he had accepted the Miami Dolphins' offer to become their coach. Saban signed his five-year contract on Monday.
Oklahoma State coach Les Miles also is believed to be a candidate for the LSU job. Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville, thought to be a candidate, agreed in principle to a new seven-year deal with the Tigers on Monday.

Coaches talk to schools all the time. Phone calls are not a fricking application. Saban probably gets phone calls from Texas big shots all the time.
Hey everybody!!!!! Saban applied for and got turned down at UT because he's not coaching there.

Petrino wasn't ever a real consideration for LSU. I'm sorry I said there was no contact because I didn't know a couple casual phone calls were a big deal.
Skip - "hey BP! You want to coach here?"
BP - "nah, I'm good here until the NFL calls"
Skip- "okay no biggie. Good luck!"
BP- "You too!"

Not sure I remember Petrino's signature win at Arkansas.
Probably beating LSU with a 74" Dick.

It's no secret that the 2005 search came down to Miles and Petrino and Skip hired Miles for a multitude of reasons. Arkansas fans are really showing their arse in this thread and on this board in general. I liked the Hogs before I came here and I still do but the way your fanbase acts on here makes it tough sometimes.

For the record, Van Horn has won an SEC title and 2 CWS appearances.
Anderson has coached Arkansas while going to 3 Final Fours, 1 National Title, 1 National Runner Up, 13 conference championships

So, his signature win was beating the worst LSU team of the last ten years. A team that finished 8-5.
Yep, that sounds about right as a signature win for Arkansas

That team was 8-5 and we were 5-7. You still couldn't beat us at Arkansas with Nutt's team coached by Petrino. You will never beat Petrino in Arkansas. Fact!

Give it up man. You look pathetic.
