Those pics of Bama's north end look nice.
But our stadium, the entire east side club looks like that, as well as the south end club area.
Ours has great finishes all around, with logo-themed carpet, furniture, etc.
In the common south end zone area, we have a Papa Johns' a coffee shop, a food court, and the entire stadium concourse has big museum-like displays, and tv's broadcasting the game so you don't miss it when you piss.
I haven't been to BDS, but I still bet Razorback Stadium is better overall.

ARKY's stadium in Fayettnam is an awesome venue despite the lowered number of seats !

We aren't standing still, either. An expanded north end is already on the drawing board. Recruits are shown the plans when they visit.
If Petrino can put together a good season this year, we may get that project underway next Spring.

Miss. State fans can't really give an opinion on Arky's football stadium since it seems we always play them in Little Rock.

And we're still playing in Little Rock every other year. We've got to get this LSU game moved to Fayetteville occassionally.

Most Ark fans don't want to play in LR anymore. At least not conference games.
Downstate politics rule, though.

How do they choose the games that will be played in Little Rock? Is it Miss. State and LSU every other year?
Posted on 4/24/09 at 2:19 pm to spslayto
Yes. When we travel to LSU, Miss. St. is in Little Rock. The Little Rock contract requires 1 conference game a year. Most of us want a bomb to land on War Memorial. But those who have never attended the U of A, the lazy, and those with an odd sense of entitlement seem to have enough power to keep extending the LR contract, costing the U of A millions every season.

I am one of the Little Rock folks that enjoy having a game close to home every year. There have been a few nights in Fayville were I barely made it home from a long day of drinking and sitting in the sun. It is noce to have a close one. I am not pulling strings to keep it here cause I have none to pull
I will say that I wish there was some sort of a rotation. I like the one conference game a year cause it actually has some meaning, I just wish they would alternate with all the west schools or something so no one school got stuck playing us every year in the craphole that WM unfortunately is.

That's my thinking. Rotate the games among your SEC west opponents. That way LSU and State would at least be able to come up to Fayetteville once every four years.

I do wish they would do something. I dont want the LR games canned, but I do wish this. I hate that the LSU and State folks never get to see Fayville. It really is a nice town and venue.

quote:If you haven't been in seven years you have missed out on a lot of the renovations/improvements. I'm not saying it is great, but the Daktrocnics board in the south endzone, a newer/nicer socreboard in the north endzone, ribbon boards on the upper deck fascias, and an increased number of restrooms and concession areas have made it a lot better. The one thing that would really help would be a new audio system. I believe the only speakers are in the south endzone above the scoreboard, and the echo makes it virtually impossible to understand about half of what it said over it if you are in the north stands.
i have- been 7 years though. compared with the rest of the west i put you 4 or 5.
jordan hare is a dump, i don't care about how many people it holds
The Auburn campus is a mixture of old and new. Several areas, especially the Quad dorms and other parts of the central campus, are some of the oldest buildings there and are on the National Historic Register. This greatly limits what can be done to those buildings - they cannot be razed and even renovations are governed by very strict limitations.
However, there has been and continues to be a lot of construction on campus which you would have missed out on by not being there in seven years. The Pharmacy Building was completely redone in 2004 or so. The Shelby Center is a state of the art engineering facility. The new basketball arena, plus the new University Village for on campus housing is completely transforming the northwestern quadrant.

I would love to see LSU come up to Fayetteville and see our real game day presence.

Alabama has the most modern stadium in the SEC as it is; it will certainly be head and shoulders above the rest after the latest expansion is done. That isn't even debatable. Outside of football, the rest of our facilities aren't anything special.
As for the campus, you can't really compare Bama and LSU because the architecture is so different. They are both very nice in their own ways.

Tuscaloosa is one of the biggest shite holes I've ever been too. I still can't believe people would even consider going to school their. I'm just glad I'm getting the hell out of this dump in 2 months.

You can barely construct a complete sentence. You haven't been to UA or any other university.
