Al Horford.

And lol at Arky being "top tier." That's for programs like UK.

Bama's best team was in 1976, lost to the Indiana team that won the NC and went undefeated. Bama game went down to the wire, Leon got in foul trouble.

Leon Douglas, T. R. Dunn, Reggie "Mule" King, Anthony Murray, Ricky Brown, Keith McCord, Greg McElveen

I can't remember the last time Arkansas was relevant in basketball.

you started watching basketball during the worst decade in our history then.

In the SEC? We absolutely are. UK is the only school with a better history. Florida has 2 nattys to our one, but Arkansas trumps them in every other category. I just know that whatever tier we are in we are looking down a few tiers at LSU.

Scottie Pippen played at Central Arkansas. Did they ever play the hogs?

The only top tier program in the conference is UK.

Agreed.

It is generous to even put Arky in the 2nd tier based on some success that is fading further and further into the rearview mirror. That elite 90-96 run was a long time ago...

I know he didn't play for the Hogs. I was just being facetious. Before the Cotton Bowl K-State fans attempted to annoy hog fans by constantly saying that Pippen played for the Hogs. Dumb hog fans would keep trying to correct them and get frustrated. Oh and I don't know if UCA ever played Arkansas back then.

Arkansas had plenty of success even before the 90's. We had 3 Final Fours even before Nolan was our coach. Eddie Sutton was our coach in the 70's and we dominated the entire Southwest Conference for decades. The past decade or so has been maybe the worst in Razorback basketball history.

Don't expect 90% of the posters on here to know shite about basketball, especially from a frickin' Mississippi State fan. We've been to the Sweet 16 as many times as MSU has made the damn NCAAT.

Outside of Kentucky/Ark no SEC school has any real history or tradition in basketball.

I figured a Gator would chime in.

Recent success doesn't = history.

Your first Final Four was in 1994 for gods sake.

And tradition? Florida basketball? Tradition of football tradition.

And?

You still don't have any history or tradition.

Thanks for conceding that with your reply.

UCA was in the AIC then and no they didn't play. Eddie wouldn't play instate schools. The last in state game I recall was stAte Hogs when Catalina almost beat Nolan. Arkansas got bailed out on a foul call on half court 3 iirc.

As long as you know you have no history or tradition in a thread about the past.

You lose.
