it is a question of....individual talent....not team members.....which calls for an independent judgement...and opinion....

Not all in life is fact based....some take a leap of faith....like the Heisman.....

Benny Snell wouldn't have better numbers than Harris, if he played for Bama. He'd be buried on the depth chart

Rountree at Mizzou is a good caparison for you. Plays in East, similar ratings for O-line players. Last year Rountree had higher YPA then Snell. With that alone one could say no Snell is not the best in the SEC.

Of course, that still doesn't mean you don't use facts to support your opinion.

I think the obvious, and pertinent, argument is that Snell was much more the focal point of UK's offense than Rountree was of Missouri's offense. Teams defending Missouri start by trying to stop Lock from throwing the ball over the yard against them, and the spread gives Rountree room to run. Teams defending Kentucky are keying on Snell and tried to force Kentucky to beat them through the air.

Valid point, but upon asking if Snell is the best you have to use facts. Snell is good, I think we can all agree with that but best? Lots of reasons have been presented to disagree with it. Something else to keep in mind is that Rountree was not the #1 back for Mizzou that was Whitter. Don't like using those two, then look at David Williams at U of A, QB threw far less than KY but still averaged a better YPA then Snell, and I am sure he played against better defenses.
