Should just go ahead and name the CFP MVP trophy the Stetson Bennett Award...

Kinda like the Heisman, Bednarik etc...

BOOOOOOOM

A month ago everyone including too many UGA fans said he'd never even sniff the NFL. Just a game manager.

Here we are.

I’m in Trussville about once a month. Let’s meet up and blab about (hose) each others teams. Hate that the Seafood and Chicken Box closed. Would be a good spot.

The guy is almost 30 so he has grown man strength which you cannot teach.

A 1 contract mistake at best. Will see the field from a practice squad at best. There are too many QBs with upsides out there.

Dang Smokey, that's a pretty harsh prognosis you have for the kid. I think you're just glad you're boys aren't going to have to face him anymore. But uh, I can assure you...different QB, same result. The Volunqueers are going down hard, again. Write it down.

Seems like an odd take. 25 is almost 30? Does that mean the 2 22 year old QB's in the draft with him are almost 25, so there really isn't much difference in them?

Ban bet? I say he will be a backup QB in the NFL. Probably won't start much unless for an injured player, but on the active squad.

I will ban bet you that he is on an active roster and not just the practice squad.

He is still butt hurt that Bennett went to New York for the Heisman program and his QB did not.

The NFL is just a different beast than college. This time of year especially can't be taken seriously when using measurables/40 times to predict success. Take a few years ago with Amari Cooper and the WR from West Virginia Kevin White. White was a "physical freak show" and many of these "experts" predicted he would have more success than Cooper after a big combine. Cooper is still playing at a high level and White is on a practice squad somewhere and never had any of the success predicted of him. So, it's hard to think Bennett will ever do anything in the league aside from being a professional backup like AJ.

This is a bad example. Kevin White was on IR for his first 3 years in the NFL.

Year 1 he needed surgery for a preseason injury and had a rod inserted in his leg.
Year 2 he injured his fibula on the same leg after 4 games & IR’d.
Year 3 in the opening game, he fractured his shoulder blade & IR’d.

NFL metrics are what they are, but they don’t predict injury or the effects of injuries on a player’s career.
