I would take him over Beckham as a WR, which is all that matters.

Fair enough. I would take the more COMPLETE FOOTBALL player, which is all that matters.

Who cares if he can return punts and kickoffs. Lots of people can do that. Not many WR go for almost 300 yards against 2 top 10 teams...in the same season.

I dont really follow the coon asses that much. But was it this year or last year, where the recievers dropped so many passes for LSU. Beckham specifically comes to mind............

Mike Evans has been a monster the past two years. And you cant exactly say system because A&M runs a spread and LSU runs more pro-style. Last year JFF led the SEC in rushing, and A&M had two 1k yd recievers (Swope and Evans). This year Mike Evans stats are off the charts. Few receptions, yet alot of yards. And he played his best in the biggest games.

This is still a troll topic. But bottomline game on the line, who would you throw it to? Yeah I'm taking the 6'5 monster who has shown to be a jump ball wizard. Evans in term of talent >Beckham. I'd take Landry over Beckham too.

It depends on what you want, though. Beckham is definitely faster than Evans, which means Beckham can slip past lots of players (he kinda did make life difficult for Sunseri last year, iirc. You can correct me if I'm remembering wrongly.)

Actually, Sunseri's injury could be a blessing in disguise this year, at least for this particular game. He's a helluva player. I like him a lot. But his replacement (that would still be Landon Collins, right?) is faster and more athletic. He's not quite there with Vinnie in terms of experience, but he's faster and has good instincts/reactions. That helps when dealing with a receiver like Beckham,

Dont need speed when the other players cant tackle you or out jump you.

Maybe beckham runs by this ole miss defender and gets to the 5 yard line. Evans jumps over him and drags 3 people to the 5 yard line.

Don't get me wrong. I'd take Evans over Beckham any day of the week. I won't debate which one is "more talented" or "more complete," but Evans is definitely a more unique player. Beckham is fast and talented, but he's also a fairly generic WR. You can pick those up anywhere; players like Evans are much harder to acquire.

i would take landry also, but the op is about beckham vs. evans. if u just have to have a jump ball of course take evans, but if you have to have a punt return/kickoff return Beckham ALL DAY. you see games are won in different ways. So saying you would take evans because of the potental of a jump ball, well i would take beckham because of the potential of a kick or punt return. Again, complete player

Seriously wtf are you talking about. Its time to pick your players: You got Devin Hester and Calvin Johnson. You're telling me you pick Hester for his punt returns.

If we're talking about special teams, then, yeah, Beckham has more to offer. Evans would still be my choice even taking that into account because there are plenty of speedy players I could put on ST.

Of course, I'd take David Palmer over both of them and never look back.

If you watch Evans closely he runs horrible routes.

Many, many NFL scouts disagree with you. Evans uses his strength and hands to get a clean release and is excellent about leveraging defenders and using the sideline, particularly on vertical routes. He's a much better route-runner than most college WRs and to state otherwise is delusional.

Lets see every kickoff is gonna go through the end zone and we punt on average once or twice a game. Better be all receiving yards.
