Cool moment in time and an image of unity and friendship for the state of Alabama.

Research Auburn's season records......
Before the early 80's Auburn did not know what elite football was

Yeah, but all he had was 5 good seasons. The way some Auburn fans worship him, you'd think he'd at least won one national championship at the least.

Untrue, but Dye did bring us back to respectability.

Dye won three straight SEC Championships and four total. His record was 99-39-4, and he took over a wreck.

I have no idea why we hold him in such high regard?

ETA forgot another huge accomplishment of his..........he got the IB moved to being played in Auburn every other year.

I am not even an Auburn fan but they deserve the 1983 NC a lot more than Miami.

Wonder if there are any photos of Neyland and Bryant, smoking cigars and downing whiskey shots like water, telling war stories.

Bryant never did shite during the war. He coached football on base, or some similarly useless stuff.

You guys take college football too seriously.

Well, if we had real issues down here, like Poop Swastikas, then we wouldn't have to be so involved in football.

So you admit it, Bear never beat Neyland. Stop equivocating

While coaching at Kentucky and Maryland, Bear never beat Neyland and clearly stated he thought Neyland was a better coach. .. Bear was all class

That conversation was actually leaked and here is how it went.
Dye "Bear, How do you do it? I mean for a man your age to still be in the prime of your career. I just want to know what your secret is?"
Bear replied, "Well Pat, before I make love to woman, I like to whip it out and beat it against the bed post three times. This does the trick for me and when I am done, I feel 30 years younger."
Dye said "I think I'll try that."
After that trip. Dye got home late and his "old lady" was asleep. So he whipped it out and beat it against the bed post three times.
She woke up confused and groggy and asked, "Bear, is that you?"

They think the rivalry doesn't matter anymore. They complain about permanent cross division rivals. But we know UT will not always suck, and one day it will get back to the way it was. Then maybe they will see. Bama and UT made this conference, and if they don't like cross division rivalry games, then they can leave. They need to know that we are willing to let them leave before we give that game up.

He disobeyed orders to abandon ship while his ship was sinking and saved two of his fellow sailors in the process.

That's simply not true. Auburn was a terror under Mike Donahue. He is Auburn's most successful coach ever. Auburn won the states first championship in 1913. In 1914 we went undefeated again not even allowing a single point all year. Donahue went undefeated 3 times at Auburn. Auburn used to control the Iron Bowl.

Bingo! Loved hearing the Bear say that on his show after a good hit. Always say the players name and mention his hometown!

He spent 14 months in North Africa. I guess in your mind aircraft maintenance is useless?
