Climate vs culture. Some folks get it, some do not. You can use fake juice, or climate, to win a game. But, after that game, that's all it was: Fake juice. Nothing has changed about your team, as a whole. In fact, you just reinforced something that has a negative impact upon culture.
To have a lasting success, one must build culture. Expectations. That doesn't come overnight. It can't be built by putting on the sunglasses and dancing in the locker room.
Congrats to Beamer, I guess? Big win, for sure, but I'm more interested in how this translates to building the culture of winning around USCe.
Currently, I'd pass on Beamer and hire Stoops, if those were my options. And I wouldn't even have to think about it.
And I do not like Stoops.
I mean...recruits were retweeting the video and speaking about how excited they were to play for him. At the end of the day, its a recruiting game now more than it was 20 years ago.
The guy was here during spurriers best years, im not worried about what he is building.
now some of his assistants worry me but we shall see longterm

Stoops is such a prick. This was well deserved.

Here's the on field version of the original video...

I'd already seen all I needed to see, first time watching that game, and turned it off. But I'd heard about that play this morning.
If that's a penalty, then we're not blocking in the open field anymore or knocking anyone on their arse. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that play. Shoulder to the chest - not the knees or head. And the defender is in a position to pursue the ball carrier. That's just clean, hard, good football play.

I was speaking metaphorically, with Beamer putting Stoop on his @$$.

But I agree with your analysis of the play. What I saw was the defender actually stop before he engages the defender. The defender stops his motion and runs into the offensive player.
For those that are interest, here's the play

Plus the block was square to the shoulders. Can’t help it if the UK guy doesn’t look in the direction he’s running.

Let’s talk about UGA’s culture of allowing their equipment manager to film football players in the shower or how an offensive lineman’s dad severed a finger in one of the school’s cheap arse foldable chairs at Sanford field and had to sue just to get his medical bills paid.
That doesn’t sound like the culture I would want to be apart of but hey you do you.
