Mississippi State has all of the top 9 on-campus crowds in the history of college baseball. Overall, DNF-PDS has held 9 crowds over 12,000 and 24 crowds over 10,000.

Let me know when y'all have the top 9 crowds

So y'all should have no excuse to be behind us in average attendance the last few seasons

Besides all the old season ticket holders that hate our coach because he curses. We literally have a whole section that's boycotting. lol

You will have higher season attendance figures until DNF is essentially leveled -- or at the very least, until there are chairbacks down both foul lines.

No one will buy season tickets to sit in those shite bleachers -- which are some of the worst, most uncomfortable seats in all of college baseball IMO. Meanwhile, we've got "lifetime" seats in the grandstand that are nearing 30 yrs old(that built the current structure in 1985), which are being willed down to family members from God knows where. So, for $200/yr/seat those families basically ensure those seats remain empty for all eternity except in rare games. That's the main reason that we're fairly likely to demolish DNF and start over from scratch...

If we had the quality seating of, say, Trustmark Park...we would sell double the number of season tickets that we currently do. Notice that we always sell within a couple hundred of the capacity of the chairbacks every year. We've had the skyboxes sold out since they were built with only one cancellation -- and a long arse waiting list(and those skyboxes are leaky, steamy piles of shite). IF we were confident that we could move forward with the current structure at DNF, we would at the very least be building additional skyboxes down the lines every single year(ala Arky)...

Just wait until Phase 3 of The Box is built. LSU will be averaging 14K+. Rain sun, snow, or wind...won't matter since most of the new seating will be suites or club seats.

Well if the leveled DNF then y'all would have to get a new outfield. You can't put the stadium in the same place if you're going to completely start over. There isn't enough time in the offseason to have it completed by the next season.

Just extending the current grandstand and suites down left & right field. The only argument is over how many suites to add.

Why do you say that? Phase 3 was always about this...the current LF & RF bleachers were temporary measures, both were salvaged from the old Box.

I am not in favor of leveling it but more a big renovation and removing the bleachers while extending the chairbacks. Also adding more suites and renovating the current ones.

there was never a phase 3 initially. Im almost positive. and ive heard nothing of putting in more suites recently. would be great but there hasnt been anything in the news about that anywhere.

not at all. the only bleachers from the old box are in outfield under the scoreboard. the bleachers along the left field and right field lines were brand new to the new box.

I didn't say recently. Phase 2 isn't even finished yet, to my knowledge. We'll find out for sure after the SEZ addition to TS, the new Indoor Tennis Center, and the Fieldhouse renovations are done.

LSU & TAF always put 2-3 projects together to float bonds on. The Box will either be in the next round of facility improvements or the one after that.
