If OU is such a destination job, why are they hiring a career coordinator that has never been a HC?
You'd think all these amazing coaches would've been lined up to fill that position.
And please don't say "OMG I WANTED VENABLES FROM THE BEGINNING". No you didn't. No one wakes up and says "Man, I really wish Brent Venables was my head coach."

Because 100% of Oklahoma's great coaches in it's history were coordinators that had never been a HC.

How come Arkansas hired Pitman with no HC experience? I get it you are dumb! OU hired someone with knowledge on defense and he was a coach at OU and is bringing in Libby! Libby is a great one to get for OU. Now who will be the DC that will be decided later. Venables is still better than what Texas hired before this season started. I am favoring OU will be even better since Riley ran away from LSU and didn't want to be in the SEC. That is a huge relieve for OU.

Nobody is denying we hired Sam because our program was in an awful state at the time. Seems like a great hire cause the program has done a 180 in two years.
