Jones started at LT out of necessity, thus, it follows that his backup is backing him up out of necessity

Unless Cyrus wasn't even the back up at LT this season He couldn't beat out a C/G for the LT spot though, that says alot

And won the Outland Trophy.

Yeah, a true freshman that hasn't played football but a few years couldn't beat out a 4th year Junior.

If one of the Guards had been injured instead of Cyrus in the Tennessee game I bet Jones would have moved back to guard and Cyrus would have become the starting LT.

no jones started at LT because he was our best LT. he was also our best LG,C,RG, and RT but he cant play all of them at the same time

no, he couldnt beat out the Outland Trophy winner for the LT spot as a true freshmen. but when he did come in the game, the Outland Trophy winner moved to another position.

Not really, but you'll tell me anyhow, I'm sure it's a shot toward Bama.

and after his injury, why would anyone be pimping your second string (or third?) LT as a starter?

LSU fans obviously think more clearly than Alabama fans do. We are no strangers to throwing our own under the bus when they suck. I know it's taboo in Alabama or some shite.

Just imagine C. Kouandjio at LT, Warmack at LG, Jones at C, Steen at RG, and Fluker at RT. Could wind up being the best offensive line in the country next year.

You might see Arie K at RG. Steen is the weakest link of an otherwise awesome group.

6'7 290 is sort of thin... he'll do well against a speed rusher but I'm not sure how he'll hold up in run blocking against bigger DEs

6'7 290 isn't all that big for an OT breh. That's a little on the thin side compared to most OTs
