It's what spurs the energy that makes you Gumps weird. We do have that kind of energy... at REAL LIVE Football games, when watching a real game. Not going to go balls out to watch a coach in a suit belittle players in a scrimmage he doesn't really want to be at either.

Our spring game attendance has always been near the highest in the country, and we've never had trouble selling season tickets(even while on probation, coming off of 3-8 years). Now I will say this, auburn has a smaller fanbase, which obviously plays a role in season ticket sales, and obviously there are/were a lot of barners unhappy with the choice to hire Chizik. That, combined with the economy has been bad for their ticket sales. I'm not laughing at them over it, because I can understand some of their fanbase not wanting to support an AD that passed over better coaches(deep down, any rational barn fan will agree there) to hire GC.

In the 20 to 30,000 range, then mushroomed into the "sell out" range to see a coach. The rest of your post I can agree with.

see, i'm not hating as much as CPA does/did, more of a rational concern for the mental state of the people in that stadium that attend to watch a particular coach conduct practice. I for one would be embarassed if the situation was reversed between our fanbases. Seriously.

Other than that change to the last sentence, I agree with everything you said.

I simply don't believe you, or anyone else who would even say that.

You have to understand how things work with the fanbase at Alabama. We can be irrational, demanding, and sometimes delusional. After what we'd been through with the Dubose, Fran, Price, Shula fiascos, our rabid fanbase was looking for any and every reason to get back to the "glory days," and we wanted to show Saban and our AD that we were happy with their decisions. If you think it's stupid, fine, but I can't count how many times that recruits bring it up.

All you have to do is listen to Finescum to see who has the inbred's. I guarantee you that more than half of your stadium fans are on welfare checks! Hell most bring there laundry detergent box with them! How more redneck can you get??

Tideparoleofficer is 100% correct. I have never seen so much trailer trash in a stadium. The only time there is more is when UT is playing Bama.

and if you weren't such a dumb count, you'd realize I'm not only talking about the fans at the stadium, but the entire fanbase.

slow down gunpowder. No need to act like an internet badass. There's plenty of room for that on tidesports.com

Now go run and play.

I just think you Gumps are flat out weird to go to a spring game in those numbers just to "witness" a coach. That is what happened.

You do know that Ohio State beat our spring record, don't you?

I guess not.

Dude... So, you would be embarrassed if there were 100% of the stadium filled up for the spring game... How about 0%, also embarrassed I would assume?

What's the good attendance number so that you are not embarrassed, 48% like you draw?

bg talks about Gumps being weird. LSU fans absolutely freak out if they have to play a SEC day game.
