That's one thing LSU and UA have in common. The last time ND was supposedly back in the elite...41-14.

LOL. Actually a Notre Dame fan made reference to that game. I chuckled. My buddy was giving me shite because I was clapping like Les Miles the whole time (the palm clap). I remember at the end when Notre Dame had the ball an Irish fan was pleading for them to score just so they could say Alabama didn't beat them as bad as they beat Michigan.

Yep.
Any team that has won the Coaches' Poll prior to 1986 (year which the AFCA trophy started to be given out) can apply and get a crystal ball for that year.
This is how Georgia has a crystal ball for 1980.
If Bama wanted to, we could have 4 more crystal balls sent to us to give us 8. It's good to be king.
