326 million for 2014, its revenue totals have been $527 million, $639 million and $650 million prior to its 2018 figure. In each of those last three years, the SEC was far ahead of the major conference that finished with the second-highest revenue total.
I agree you hate to see it, as a passionate college football fan, but the money doesn't lie. When Bama makes the playoffs, more times than not, they win it. More money. So how would you rather have it?
The refs probably do this more subconciously than anything. In other words, its more in the back of their minds, what has to be done. I get it. Lets give the officials a break. They are probably under pressure, i sure in the hell wouldnt want their job.

False.
SEC needs to have top players to make money but it doesn’t have to be them. I have lived in other parts of the country and people don’t give a shite about Alabama or anyone else here really.

Sure, this makes perfect sense. The most penalized team in the history of college football, Alabama 2019, is actually protected by the refs subconsciously. Saban, using invisible laser beams, indicates to the refs when penalties are appropriate.
The refs give them 80 penalties a game but, not at crucial moments. That way, the cash elephant is protected.
Makes perfect lsusense.

That's a lie. Everyone, everywhere, cares about Alabama football, even if they don't know it.
It's the same situation as the OP brilliantly described in a perfectly sane and normal post.
Much as the refs are really on Bama's side but don't it, every human on Earth is actually a Bama fan, even if they aren't aware of it.

The problem is 2/3 of the refs in the conference would drop to their knees and polish Saban’s short little knob just to get a selfie with the new Bear. It’s the absolute truth. Especially the crew that called the Vol’s game. I have seen that crew, that specific head official, frick LSU to death in the past. It’s always a judgement call like PI or holding. Always. Auburn should be here standing with me because AU has been fricked by Bama refs over and over too. Everyone gets fricked by bama refs, even lowly Arkansas.

No, you are wrong. Alabama doesn't get any extra help from referees, ever. If anything, they penalize us more to try to show that they are impartial.
It's a burden that Alabama players and the teams have learned to shoulder. I hope Saban will walk over to the SEC office in B-Ham and bring this unfair issue up with them soon.

Nice response and very classy. You represent your fanbase better than you know.
I don't know why you are upset.

False. Alabama is a small State. They are like Nebraska, sure good runs in Football but the sport does not need them in the grand scheme. Bama has had its share of bad seasons and the sport has continued to thrive.

Even as you type your posts, it's clear that you are a Bama fan even though you don't realize it.
It's the same scenario with the referees being partial to Alabama but not knowing it, as one of the smartest lsu posters on the board stated in the original post.
How long have you been a Bama fan?

You know the SEC makes the same no matter team goes to the semis. It helps if the best team goes because it increases the chances f advancing. Now all things being equal, it is the SEC's best interest for LSU to win out, thus giving the conference a third program in the playoffs, and thus increasing the national perception of the strength of the SEC and debunking the "it is Bama and everybody else" argument. The truth is that Birmingham has no reason to help Bama and every reason to help LSU.
