quote:this isn't the poli board! be careful using those big words. If I was guilty of this tonight, it was because of Bama fans, not because of Saban. I still don't really hold a grudge against him like a lot of LSU fans do. I just happen to find a lot of their fans insufferable (there are some good ones on this board, though).
schadenfreude
I was pulling for Bama, tonight, but didn't really care either way. I don't think LSU fans have much room to smack talk being that bama beat us at home, and had a fantastic season.

Were arguably not well prepared? 'Bama was absolutely, positively, unequivocally and most embarrassingly grossly unprepared to take on a darn fine Utah team.
In the Utes, Nick Saban didn't perceive any challenge to either his team or his own perceived coaching "genius". He got schooled on how truly great coaches always game plan and prepare their teams for each and every game as though their upcoming opponent is the best team in the country.
That notwithstanding, I congratulate 'Bama on a fine, over-achieving season ... but they'd better stay prepared to endure these kinds of embarrassing coaching inconsistencies unless NS changes the selective way he has always approached his game prep.
