Let's hope we get to see Coach S whining about "deserving" a playoff spot even with a L.
While I think there is a very good chance Auburn could beat Bama because the game is being played in Cow Town, I think Bama can pull it off and not worry about having that L.

And for the record, I don't blame refs for anything that has happened in the last 8 years with LSU's play against Bama.
Refs make bad calls, coaches make bad playcalls, players make bad reads. It's all part of the game. Bama was the better team in our last 8 meetings.
I like what Coach Stoops at Kentucky said when asked about the officiating in the conference

quote:
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops if he thinks the best teams get preferential treatment from referees.
“I think it’s human nature to feel that way, and some of it is because great teams can overcome those things,” Stoops said. “Calls will always go against you; the officials will never be perfect. When you know a call can swing a game, it’s human nature to think that. … That’s natural, and you have to overcome that. It’s difficult, just speaking in general.”

great quote. Great teams should be able to overcome human error by refs sometimes

What I take from Bama getting more penalties is that with the current state of officiating is they are getting more non-calls too.
Say Bama gets 10 penalties during the game and the refs are missing 2/3 of all of the infractions, then actually Bama would have made 30 infractions and would seem to be getting the benefit of the REC interference with the officiating crew.
Any other team playing in the same game trying to not have penalties gets flagged say 5 times during the game would actually have made 15 infractions.
In conclusion, Bama would be getting twice as many "no-calls" as the other team which would be noticed by the HD TV's watchers and the fans of the less penalized team.
that is why it appears to be so lopsided to fans because, in reality, it is.

MUH TIMING = "The calls that stand out in my mind that would have benefited my team had they gone the other way."

lol. LSU gets so many no calls its unreal. Example A and B- Florida and Auburn this past year when you lines were mugging the Aub and FL d line

It will be ridiculous. Just like people saying LSU was holding on every play vs Auburn.
At least you recognize LSU fans are the only ones denying it.

I like this. I think some fans go into games expecting bad calls to happen and are looking for it which makes it worse.

I'm not denying anything. People want to act like LSU fans are this or that when they complain about officiating. I agree that it's complete nonsense. But, then after LSU wins those same people come back and complain about the refs. It's total hypocrisy.
