Yeah, I gotcha, I was still reading posts when I saw a new one of post his pop up. I know this OP topic is interesting but if club can get out of September undefeated I'm going to breathe a big sigh of relief. Keith Price is probably the best QB the team will face (but I don't think they have the horses this year). And I think AU will be much better than people think.

I am sure you weren't one of the LSU posters claiming LSU was going to molest Alabama on JAN 9th since it was basically a home game right? STFU

Technically, but Milliner started his freshman year and was the third corner last year. He has 17 career starts. But beyond him we dont have anyone with much exeperience other than JUCO.

Big big test in September. Hogs better make the most of it, that's for sure.

Wanna know how I know you don't know shite about football? We went 13-0 and won the SEC with that stable of running backs.
I think 90% of our success last season belongs to D & ST.... I love our Tigers as much as the next guy but we don't exactly have a star 1st round RB.

Yep, if Wilson is clicking on all gears, and Tide's DB's haven't quite jelled as a unit, it's a good opportunity. Of course Wilson will need time to throw so I would think a significant improvement in O-line play or Davis+company slowing down pass rush with legitimate run threat will be needed.

Watching Ware in 2011 spring game then 2011 season it really looked like he lost a half step. I thought it might be an unreported thigh bruise or something but even with time off he didn't seem to have same spring in step. I'm wondering if he bulked up and sacrificed speed...not sure. Watching spring game this year I really like Hilliard...looked liked he dropped a little weight but picked up some quickness, speed and maybe some more power.

Oh I know we don't. But my point was that our running backs were very beneficial last season and I was just replying to the dude who was asking how we plan on have success with a stable of backs opposed to one good starter, which my reply to it was that success was already proven.
I know our defense bailed us out of trouble at times. And I also know that special teams usually ignited a spark by making a big play, which they didn't in January.

thats not gonna happen. Bama pushes Arky around every year. The '12 Bama DLine is the deepest in a long time time. What the DBs lack, the DL will make up for. Bama replaces Nick Gentry with Jeff Pagan or LaMichael Fanning. Fanning in particular is a mauler. Jesse Williams is improving his technique and getting stronger in his second full year in a bigtime football program. He is an elite talent, IMO. Even if his technique isnt elite, his combo of size, strength, and speed are on bizarre levels.

That's bad news for Hogs then. Watching Hogs/MSU (prior game to LSU/Hogs) I felt very confident even though Arkansas hammered them. I watched Wilson get rushed/flushed out and hit on most plays. I knew it was going to be bad news against LSU. Their O line really has to pick it up to get to next level I think. I don't follow them close enough to know if they've made O line recruiting a priority or not.

The team who loses the first game shouldn't get a 2nd chance.

Have to admit I really like Jesse. How both programs ended up with stud aussies I don't know but him and Brad wing are special for sure.
How is Jesse adjusting to the new position? Watching a lot of film from last year that dude was getting triple teamed. Even on Jan 9.. we didn't have anyone spare to block Upshaw on some downs because that freak was wrapped up with 3..

Was Bama supposed to say no thanks? AP, coaches and harris group gave their opinion. OSU failed against a mediocre ISU. Stanford was a divisional runnerup. Who else?

Bama hit him over and over and over. It was brutal. Hell he earned a reputation as probably the toughest QB in the country because he survived that arse whooping. He eventually got pulled. I honestly expect a repeat of that massacre.

So you got Bama at 13-0, LSU at 11-1, and everybody else at 10-2 or worse.. No rematch?

He is I think...he went through that just about every game. I admire him. Never once started throwing off back foot or getting happy feet that I remember...tough, tough kid.

Honestly it wouldn't have bothered me if OSU got nod and LSU went to Sugar. I figured before 11/5/11 that if they lost they put their fate in someone else's hands. Just speaking for myself, not fanbase at large.

he says he is adjusting to being in the middle of everything and eating up space. but he says its not much difference because the NT is supposed to draw a double team and he was already seeing some of that. i think the biggest strides are being made in the weight room. Reports all year have said that he lives in the weight room. He needed to add some lower body strength because he never really had a lot of time in a bigtime S&C program. but his upper body strength is just ridiculous. He's just got some kind of crazy native australian muscle composition.
i agree its cool that both teams have a player from australia. both guys are really damn good too. i wonder if there are people in australia for follow SEC football. it would be cool to have some aussie posters on the SECrant

I just think some people are looking backwards, not forward with the no rematch talk.. Who is to say it won't happen again? Especially when we're talking about a playoff situation.. And i would have had no problem with OSU getting the nod last season, either..
