The classic go-to Ole Miss response.
Let's just call a spade a spade. Alabama is a better program. And you are a flamer.
I'm moving on.

Since you're so "in", please enlighten us as to when, and where, Saban cheated. You can't, because he doesn't. Again, what is your agenda here? Are you butthurt because Ole Miss will never be relevant again?

Thank you for your contribution, professor.
Shouldn't you be more concerned about the less than stellar performance from your head coach?

I don't have to go to space to KNOW that there is no gravity. I don't have to go to China to KNOW that the people over there speak Mandarin. I don't have to wreck my car to KNOW that it freakin hurts.
Some things are just facts. It's okay though. I seriously want someone or some people to do the same for us. I want wins. I don't care how we get there. I want to win, period.

Better pick a different team then.

Sure. That's valid. But what do you suggest I do? Write a sternly worded letter to our Vagina fricked AD that he'll use to clean up his spunk after jacking off into a the pile of nickels and pennies he saved by limiting our recruiting coordinator to 500 minutes a month? Should I get on message boards blasting his jackassery in the hopes to effect change on the situation? Should I call the Deans office and leave a nasty voicemail? Please, tell me how my "concern about the less than stellar performance from my heaed coach" on a message board will fix said performance.

What a douche.
You know, it says alot about a person that he cannot put aside his allegiance to have a plain ol conversation about stuff. Far fetched idiocy or down home fact, it shouldn't matter. Conversation and discussion are how we as human beings evolve.
Some people just take themselves and their school much, much too seriously.

Well, it's about as effective as making stupid threads like you did here. And, it least that doesn't make you look like a dumbass.

Ahhh, but I disagree!!! I was not trying to effect change in this thread, but merely discuss an attempt by a journalistic troll to cast doubt and suspicion on the forthcoming Bama NC.
I also disagree with your second point. There are many hundreds of posters here on the SEC Rant that would call me exactly that should I engage in your suggested behavior. Isn't perception, in fact, reality?

A caller just discussed this with longshore.
Im really curious as to why the NCAA is completely disregarding the rules in this case.

In reality they aren't. There is no clearly defined condition as "Major Probation" by the NCAA. There are major violations and there is probation, but the two are not mutually exclusive OR inclusive. The fact that the rules use the term "major probation" is vague enough to allow certain cases to proceed (OU last year, Bama this year) and others to be classified in the media as "Major Probation/Bowl Inelligible" and therefore, out.
Cue black helos.

Violations by 201 student athletes.
21 football victories vacated.
3 years probation.
but since its alabama crimson tide, itll be minor probation

See, that's the thing. It's not even classified. It's just probation. When they really want to screw someone, the NCAA releases it to the media with a title. "Major Probation", "Bowl In-elligible", etc.

This is why the article you posted doesn't mean shite.

As in 2002 for Alabama. Alabama was on postseason ban, and hence, the coach's poll did not vote for Alabama, unlike the AP. 2009 is not the same scenario.

its not about bowl elligiblity. its the fact that teams that are on probation are not able to receive Coaches Poll Votes.

There is no such thing as a 'major' probation. Either you're on probation or not. If we were ineligible to play in the title, we would have already been notified and riots would have already commenced.
Excellent pot stirring, though.

Then why does the coach's poll only choose to not vote for teams when they are on post season ban? This happened with Auburn in 1993, Cal in 2001, and Alabama in 2002. Are you interpreting their rules for them?
