Not trying to take anything away from the LSU's championship but to win a championship most seasons you need a little bit of luck. LSU lost two games, needed a loosing team to upset WV and also got a break getting to play TN in the SEC championship game. When Bama made its run in 08 we played the best and lost to the best.
Whatever makes you feel better dude!

quote:Agreed. They can't have it both ways. It they truely have all of the "best of", they should win it all or admit their team/coaches underachieved.
They have way too much talent to not bring home a NC.

It's interesting though. Let's assume for a second that he does not win a NC this year, or next year, or next year ...
How many non-NC seasons does he get before he starts to get criticized for not winning with the talent? Not a flame, a serious question. I am curious what you think.
There would be disappointment in not winning one (or more) in the next few years, however, considering where we were 4-5 years ago, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a truly disgusted Bama fan. I was extremely disappointed with the way Bama finished out last year, but I wouldn't trade that experience at all! Saban has done an almost miraculous job in a very short period of time.
There were a lot of seasons with the Bear where we had some of the most talented teams in the country and fell short of winning it all. It happens.

That's a dumb question... and I'll tell you why.
You know exactly what any fanbase would expect, and you know what they would tolerate.
Our team has improved by an order of magnitude (that's a LOT... for you Auburn fans) since Saban got here.
It's all on HIM. He brought in the coaches, told the administration what he needed, was involved with every aspect of the team's development...... academic, psycological, physical....
He's EXACTLY who Alabama needed to get back on top. His resources here are second to none (not even LSU's... which he had a hand in building up)
Prior to the last couple of years, all the other SEC fans hated 'Bama fans because we were arrogant and had a sense of entitlement. (We still have that shite... frick you)..
But now... it's mostly because they're scared to death of our program. Saban, et al, is bringing us back to national prominence, and you guys HATE THAT.
Tough shite. See you on Saturday. Beat us on the field, or shut the frick up.
