Then they quit playing them and said the North Texas game was more important and had more historical significance.
I may be wrong, but I believe it is AU that is happily jumping at the chance to leave the west and put Bama in this predicament.
Choose the other SEC blueblood that we've played 93 times, or keep playing a poisonous rivalry that few people consider a good time anymore? Hard decision, imho.

Personally, i would prefer things stay the same, but I don't have a huge problem going to the East. I prefer the Iron Bowl remain in tact. I think it is a special rivalry on even a national scale and should continue one way or another.

For me, at 39, it's UT but if UT continues to suck it will lean more to AU.

You're bringing in a team from Texas and a team from Missouri...what do you think should happen? And all I've seen from Auburn University is that they wouldn't cause a big stink about it if the SEC asked them to move. They haven't jumped at any chance to put Bama in any sort of predicament. If the SEC asks us to go and our rivalry games are protected, why the frick should Auburn care if y'all lose the Tennessee game? Like it does anything to benefit or harm Auburn either way. That's UA and Tennessee's problem.

The meaning is pretty obvious by looking at the sign. I just don't think you want to admit what it means.
Yes, it is obvious. It shows our players celebrating in the first half, and your players celebrating after coming back to win. It's obvious that it's about not thinking you have the game won at halftime, but auburn fans always have to think everything is about them.

ETA: I guess the poster's color scheme is just a coincidence.

I was just pointing out that it is Auburn that is putting the game in jeopardy by happily moving out.
Alabama isn't 'quitting' anyone; they just have a difficult choice to make if this plan goes through.

Psst...your coach told us how much time he spends preparing to beat us, as well as "how much I fricking hate these guys"!

That's why a few bama fans say the UT game means more to them and you have to say it's because we're trying to make you mad.

The msu poster had maroon on it. Big deal.

I think Au fans keep trying to dispell what Bama fans are saying they would prefer, if forced to choose, because they want to believe they are more relevant to Bama, than Tennessee is.
For most if not all, who say Tennessee, it's because:
1. It's an older, more respected rivalry.
2. More National implications have been involved with that game.
3. More SEC Championships have been decided because of that game.
4. It took until 2004, just for Auburn to tie Ga Tech in SEC Championships.
Granted, Auburn has been more competitive the last decade and in the 80's. But that is it, and in the grand scheme of things, it didn't involve Championship implications. The Iron Bowl is a great rivalry, and I wouldn't want it done away with. However, IF, it has to be a choice of Au or Tenn on Bama's schedule every year, give me Tennessee.

would bama fans want to play AU the week before the SEC Championship if AU goes to the East?

Make it the Labor Day weekend game...first weekend of the season, less time for folks to get lathered up with a good mad on.
