My freshman year. I waited in line with a couple of pledge brothers and said screw it and left the line was so long out the door.

If I remember right it was the first week of classes my sophomore year(94). They played Riverside Amphitheater the summer prior.

I ate too many mushrooms and don't remember much of the show, except how crowded it was. I think it got stopped a few songs in by the fire marshal. The fire marshal during that ear was a real dick.

If it was Sept 1994 then I was a sophomore as well. I was thinking it may have been in the Spring of 1994. We are the same age then.

Riverside Amp was nice. Too bad they don't have anything to replace it.

It was. Radio Free Tuscaloosa was always a good time. I still have one of those shirts, but it is pretty tattered and frayed.

Gov't, you may be right on the DMB show. I know it was in 94, but can't remember if it was spring or fall.

I remember seeing David Allan Coe at The Old Train Station which was my favorite bar while in school. It's a shame that place went away. It would be an even bigger hit with all the new places downtown not to mention the Embassy Suites going up a stone's throw away.

Isn't the actual train station still there?

Yep. There is a sign out front too like you'd see for an operating business but the times I've been up for a game lately I don't see any activity there. Lots of memories associated with that place.
