Am I the only one who thinks he will be a STUD? He knows what the hell he's doing on a football field.

Anyone else feel like we're not going to see a big drop-off in defense?

I am sure BAma will be very good. Replacing HIghtower and Upshaw will be a challenge. They, in my opinion, were the ingredients that made Bama's defense tops versus just very good...

What guys will be fighting to replace him?

Adrian Hubbard, Xzavier Dixon, Jeoffery Pagan, and some of our incoming freshmen (Ryan Anderson or Denzel Devall maybe?).

Brandon Ivory looked pretty good as NG the small amount I saw him play.

Linebacker is gonna be tough losing Hightower, Harris, and especially Upshaw. I dont know that we have a ferocious pass rusher that can really fill Upshaw's shoes so we are gonna need to have more pressure on the QB from across the entire front 7.

It's going to be really weird not seeing Hightower our there anymore. This is all assuming he doesn't come back, of course. I don't see why he would.

Gentry and Williams will be back on the line and they are really the heart and soul of that line anyway. Chapman was great but I think Gentry is gonna make him look silly next year.

Wow, so we're not losing Gentry? For some reason I thought this was his last year. That is very good news.

I thought Gentry played a good bit at NT? Maybe I just saw him lining up next to Courtney and thought it was DT.

There's no way not to drop off a little from this defense, but we had a good defense even last year with all new starters. We'll be better off than last year. The offense should be great. It averages out.

Yeah, I haven't forgotten about him. I just know very little about his progression.

Yes, he generally plays NT, especially on passing downs. I just thought he was a senior, for some reason. I'm really glad to hear he's coming back.

The front seven will be fine. It's the secondary that I'm worried about.

Yeah, oh well, I think we are still pretty ok. NT on running downs needs a meat shield more than anything. Surely Nick has one of those laying around somewhere.

You're not alone in this. Vinnie looked like he was playing at full speed with the veterans out there. You can tell he's very smart and he seems to have a knack for play recognition. I just love how he plays hard every down, without hesitation. Kid has a lot of heart.

I pretty much hate everything gump related. But this Sunseri kid is a champ. The kid is all heart and hustle and seems to know where he needs to be at all times. Helluva ball player thats only gonna get better

Yeah, ivory is a big old hole plugger. He worries me a little though because he was playing for Chapman in the Georgia Southern game and they went up the middle all day on us that day. I hope that was more a product of not really preparing for them that much than a product of his play ability but regardless, another year in the coaching system make a difference regardless.
