Yes, they're both assumptions. And as I stated, not all assumptions are created equal. Some are more plausible than others.

Are you claiming that his dismissal wasn't dropped? That would be a much bigger assumption on your part than my assuming that his dismissal has not been dropped

im arguing against your logic and defending dre...if you would read my posts i said it was a very good assumption but we could assume the same about dre based on your logic. sorry it went over your head

The whole implication of this thread is that Alabama does not drug test or covers up for players that fail. Robby Green would disagree with you. You can assume that Kirkpatrick has been toasting 'em all year, but there is no proof that he has, and a lack of positive tests does not prove that Alabama is sweeping this stuff under the table. He is apparently smarter in his consumption habits than Mr Mathieu. We don't have to assume that Mathieu's behavioral problem was drugs, since he is in drug rehab, and only a fool would say that isn't related to his dismissal from LSU.

i actually know for a fact if he wants to play in 2013, he is welcome back if he meets all of the criteria laid out for him.

his dismissal was because of his reaction to the year suspension, i also know that to be fact

thats if he doesnt go pro

May be semantics, but that doesn't really sound like a dismissal to me. Sounds more like a suspension or forced leave of absence.

Saban, who says his program educates offenders and helps them make better decisions but will ultimately dismiss them if necessary, recalls having a disagreement with NCAA officials about one player who tested positive.

"Based on the success we've had, I asked them to let us manage the guy in our program, like everybody else," he says. "I also said, 'I hope you understand our program is a hell of a lot better than yours because you're not doing anything to help anyone. - Nick Saban'"

Like i said, "in house". After all, St. Nick is above the NCAA rules committee. And, what Bama player has been dismissed for marijuana, as Nick said he would do?

Many have transferred following indefinite suspensions (read: dismissed) for violation of team rules. Several were rumored to be the result of failed drug tests. We don't know because just like Miles, Saban doesn't publicize it when a player fails a drug test. I don't think any coach does.

Robby Green. It's been said multiple times in this thread.

damn this thread is full of win... i'm pretty sure i'm the only one here who has actually taken a piss test for the alabama athletic dept and/or ncaa. no they are never announced they just show up at practice. for us they normally found us in the morning when we were doing weights or other dry land training. i don't think they ever came to the pool to test us.

"and can figure out that you stop when a drug test is upcoming"

So now you admit they tell players when they are going to be tested? That's even worse.
