In 2 weeks, LSU's young offense will be even more seasoned. Russell Shepard stepped up tonight. The coaches are turning the offense loose. JJ is gaining confidence. LSU's defense is nasty. We have nothing to lose. I think that Alabama is going to have quite a battle on their hands against LSU. Plus, Bama's vaunted D gave up 341 yards and 20 first downs to a Jonathon Crompton led Tennessee offense. Yes, I think that the LSU-Bama game will be quite a war.

Well shite...
I was hoping the secret playbook wouldn't be unleashed until after Bama played LSU.

Should be a great game, but that stat more than anything would have me concerned if i was a Bama fan.

Bye means a lot after 8 straight weeks. Why does it seem like you guys always have a bye before you play us?

And we play Tulane, which is better than a bye. It is a tune up game to give our offense more confidence.

Here's the thing: I'm not pinning my hopes on Bama playing like crap. My point is that LSU is getting better. We will be the most talented team Bama plays all year, except Florida if you beat us. What was once a sure win for Bama has completely changed to a very difficult game.

I'm SO damn glad we have the bye week now. We desperately need it. Our team is worn down, mentally and physically. Time to rest, regroup, and fix the problems.

I hope LSU fans stop trying to win this game before it's played. It's going to be a huge, tough game. Deal.

Agreed here. I definitely liked the spark on offense but we're going to need to run the ball better and make better play calls to beat Bama. Also that happened against a shitty D.

I really like how our D is developing though. Bama's going to have a hard time moving the ball I think.

Bama has a very disciplined team and the bye week will help I think. Can't wait for that game.

uhh don't confuse scoring 31 on AU for "turning the offense loose"

Washington was too, correct?

Trash talk aside, I think it'll be a close game, but if I were you guys, I wouldn't I wouldn't use Aubarn as a measuring stick for your next major opponent.
