Damn 112 straight. How is that even possible?
dual meets, sec's, invitationals... multiple opportunities to beat them each year. i believe the streak goes back to 1979 or so?

AU doesn't care about the 112-0 now, but wait until they break it. Holy shite!

AU fans care, first 8/11 replies were by AU fans although the thread title clearly stated gymnastics. Then you opened the thread and posted, twice.

To Hell with close, 28-27 still sucks.
112-0 isn't close.
See how that works?

Wtf? So the women and young girls who pack Coleman for home meets don't count as fans? frick off and quit being a dick.
It is the only sport in College Athletics where its participants are "over the hill". It is like watching the Sr Tour in Golf. Entertaining, but made way too much of.

So you're mocking people for supporting something successful? I bet you hate America then.

More to the point:
Alabama and Georgia have dominate the Auburn program for decades because while their ADs cared and gave their young coaches resources... Auburn never did and the coaches they brought in never really got much going, they made a top six appearance in the 90s but that's it. That is not the case for them anymore. Even as a Bama fan I will say our streak's days are numbered ever since the appointment of Auburn's new coach, Jeff Graba. The man comes from the Utah coaching tree and in three years has smashed the Auburn records in scoring, individual results and attendance. In the past when the meets are close it's always because Bama flubbed something up. But now they are close because Auburn is closing a gap.
As for not caring about it, that's 100% fine. You just have to stick to that when the Tigers finally do beat the GymTide, most likely in Auburn Arena and the students will rush the floor and roll the uneven bars and beam.

Nope. 27 and I don't care about gymnastics. Unlike you, I've actually been to some of Bama's gymnastics meets. 95% of the crowd is students and people with young children.

I just checked my "damns to give" drawer and wouldn't you know it, I'm fresh out.
Gymnastics is a bullshite "sport" with a subjective scoring system. It's one of the biggest reasons the Winter Olympics is superior to the Summer Olympics.

Im sure there are those fans. But there are very few real sports fans who don't think gymnastics at the College Level, is something just above a "club sport". To beat your chest over any accomplishment, is just short of ridiculous. To have grown men beating their chest (including 27 year olds), automatic throws up red flags.

I don't think anyone is really beating their chest. It's just not every day that someone extends a streak to 112 in a row.
This thread would be here even if it was tennis, soccer, swimming, etc.
