Bama has been playing Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU for decades.

Mistyped

Bama, OM, A&M

Still favorable overall, let’s be honest.

Only thing that changed was Tennessee is no longer average and Auburn hired Freeze.

I’m perfectly fine with it.

The way I understand it they broke the conference down into two pieces:

A Ala, Aub, UF, UGA, LSU, OU, Tex, A&M

B Ark, UK, Ole Miss, MSU, Mizzou, SC, Tenn, Van

Group A had to play 2 out of A and 1 out of B. Opposite for group B. Made sense for Bama’s group B opponent to be Tenn.

Whether the groups are divided correctly is a different argument.

So since Saban has gone on record as saying he doesn’t understand/like how they came up with Bama’s opponents, who does he propose his opponents to be using the group A/B scenario?

He did not want his three games to be Auburn, LSU and UT. 3 of the big 6.. Most others play 2.

Georgia plays Tennessee, Auburn and Florida and have done it with an 8 game schedule. Alabama doesn't want to do this?

Auburn plays Georgia, LSU and Alabama.

LSU plays Florida, Alabama and Auburn.

Tennessee plays Georgia, Alabama and Florida.

Alabama plays LSU, Auburn and Tennessee, now.

Florida plays LSU, Georgia and Tennessee.

There are some years in which some of these play 4.

That can't be the reason. All of the Big 6 plays 3 other Big 6 teams.

It's pretty pathetic after hearing from their fans for years that Saban was the only one that wanted a 9 game season and everyone else was scared.

Gumps are always full of shite.

Every Bama fan I know wants 9 games. Saban wants 9 games or even more. He did publicly advocate that those 3 permanent opponents be as as equal as possible, but he never said that Bama doesn’t support 9 games. For the record I’d be excited to keep 3 top tier games, and would be pissed to end up with a schedule like AU’s with Vandy as a permanent.

Bama is the one who triggered this back to 8 games it’s been verified . Now there are other smaller schools who also wanted 8 games . If OU and Texas were to vote I know they would both be in favor of more games since each of our school lose a home game every other year . I do see a point in making network pay for 9th game.
Don’t wanna go to 9 if the big ten can set on 8 games and get more teams in because I am tired of seeing fricking Penn state inside top 7 all year even after they lose to both Mich and Ohio state and have no quality ooc wins … how they get so much respect for being average is beyond me . Atleast Mich beats Ohio state last two years .
