This game reeks of 2010 South Carolina, which I'm sure is still fresh on the minds of a whole lot of Alabama folks.

Because of that, I don't see Saban or any of the senior/junior kids letting this one slip under the radar and sneak up on them. No way Saban takes his foot off the gas here to give them a shot at knocking them off.

It will be a 14 point lead at halftime. MSU's spirits get crushed at around the 13:30 mark in the third quarter and Bama ends up with a 30 point lead at the end of the game.

Alabama has bigger, stronger, faster, better players at every position. As long as they don't come out flat, it will be a massacre.

This is just wrong. Bama has played 5 teams that average over 400 yds of total offense a game. MSU has played 3.

Take out UPig because Wilson didnt play against you- you got a freebie there

And Auburn is the only team we have played that averages under 300- you need to re-do your stats- they are inaccurate

Bama hasn't given up 572 yards to a seventh place Sun Belt team.

I've seen this about 107 times now. And I really hope this is what you guys are basing all your confidence on.

They are 22nd in the country in offense btw....and we played back-ups half this game after getting out to a quick 23-7 lead in the 2nd quarter

Then your coach is an idiot if this is true. The score was 23-21 early in the 4th quarter. All you have proven is that you have no quality depth.

My bad, the Jackson State website had a cumulative team statistics page, but on second look it doesn't appear they have updated it in a while. I'm sure Jackson State has an awesome offense, probably better than Bama's. I will give you that one. I took out Arkansas and of the remaining 6 teams Bama has played the average is 391.25 yds per game. Since I don't know Jackson State's average per game I will assume it is around 550 yds a game since they are the gold standard in whatever league they play in. That would give MSU's opponents an average of 399 per game.

Well damn!!! you were right.

Bama is 1-3 at home vs the Spread

Actually Bama is 0-3 at home against the spread. They covered against Michigan in the season opener (easy money) on a neutral field.

And a stat I just saw on on wager source said Bama is 1-5 against the spread in it's last 6 home games. But that's just a stat. Doesn't mean jack come Saturday night.

I'm not sure what to expect come Saturday night. But I do know this...this is Mullen's best offense that he's had at MSU. We can finally throw the ball downfield w/ a dependable QB. We're a passing team instead of a running team over like the Bulldogs of the past 3 seasons. I don't know what wrinkles Mullen plans to use againts the Bama D. But I do know that we have average (at best) Wide Receivers. I don't know if they can get open.

I believe last year's Bama team is better than this years. (Just my opinion.) But I do know that Bama is better this year at QB than they were last year. AJ Mc has really developed over the offseason and he looks pretty damn impressive. But Bama's Oline seems to puzzle me at times. They have stars on the line but sometimes give up big hits and have miscommunication at times. For instance against WKU and Mizzou.

MSU doesn't have a real pass rush...still waiting for someone to step up. We are really missing Fletcher Cox. I believe MSU will load the box to stop the run at all costs and have AJ make plays to beat the Bulldogs secondary. I think that's a must. The Bulldogs have looked very mediocre against the run at times this year.

For the Dogs to even have a remote shot against the Tide on Saturday night they'll have to catch a lot of breaks. We'll have to protect the football like we've done all season. That's a must. Bama and State are at the top of the NCAA in turnover margin. State needs some breaks such as tipped ball INTs and such. Mullen has to show things that he hasn't so far this year which I'm sure he'll do. Bama has to bring their "C" game and the Dogs their "A" game. But what Saban team has brought their "C" game over the past 4+ years??? Sugar Bowl vs Utah? And that ain't happening again.

I'm thinking Bama - 29 Dogs 16

Looking forward to the tailgating and atmosphere in Ttown. Have a safe trip everyone.

We're fans dipshit. I'm pretty sure Saban and the team are doing more than looking at statistics. Their confidence is based on two years of kicking the crap out of almost everybody they play.

We had a bunch of 1st year guys needing playing time- it was the perfect time to get them experience against a pretty good offense

And no- our depth in nowhere near Bama's- and neither is anybody else's except LSU or Fla

Why do I keep hearing this? State played against AU whose offense is listed as #119 out of #120.

The only team we both have played for comparison is Tennessee and Alabama won 44-13 in Knoxville; State won 41-31 in Starkville.

State was up 27-14 at half...Bammer up 23-10 and pushed it on out. State needs to stop coasting in games and play a full 4 quarters

State also played against #22 Troy...Bammer's highest is Tennessee- who State also played. And UPig didnt even have Wilson

If I had to bet, would definitely take the points.. Bama plays tight at home, this will probably be a 27-13 type game. Probably ugly to Bama fans..

Bammer is 1-5 against the spread in their last 6 games...0-3 this season

State is easy money this Saturday...this line was made to steal more money from the people in Alabama who will bet Bammer no matter the spread

The three teams we have played at home this year have been Western Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, and Ole Miss. Three teams that are very hard to get up for. It's Homecoming this weekend and Mississippi State is coming in undefeated. Alabama will be fired up for this game.
