Man, central to south Alabama just can't get a break when it comes to bad weather.

power lines down all over bham metro.. alotttt of damage they're saying

severe damage in the chalkville, centerpoint and trussville areas.. trusville fire reports people trapped and people in paradise valley, off old springville needing help, but blocked by down lines.

the lightning was unreal when it passed near here. was like a strobe light.

Yeah, and rescue workers can't get into the area to help people because of the damage.

major gas leaks reported in trussville. residents asked to stay home while emergency personell are out.. also for center point, chalkville and clay.

No homes left standing reported in Paradise Valley subdivision in Chalkville/Clay... crap

eta- that's a big subdivision.. can't believe it took that many out, but sounds bad.

It's looking like Center Point, Clay and Trussville got it hard.

Just got power back on and saw where the storm tracked. Scary stuff. Too close for comfort. Hope everyone in Paradise Valley is okay.

still got power, I'm about 2 miles from downtown Clay.. I think it came through and went just south of downtown at an angle it sounds like. City of Margaret confirmed a tornado out of it.

It's also extremely hilly. I can't believe that report could be accurate. At least I really hope it's not.

sounds like they got hit bad. Should be daylight soon and will get better reports. Hope no deaths, but if the damage is what they are saying, there could be. That's a pretty populated subdivision and I remember when grayson valley got wiped out back in the early 70's.
