It always seems to open up right at the most inopportune times doesn't it?
ETA: looking at the forecast I may be driving to work in some of it tomorrow morning.

I bet Alaska is amazing if you are really into the outdoors. I would love to visit in the late spring/summer when everything thaws. I bet all the greenery, the mountains, and the streams/springs are really beautiful.
Bluest skies, greenest grass and trees. It's incredible. You have 4 seasons and when one ends, you are ready for the other. Summers are awesome for the most part where a heat wave means 80 degrees. Took this in August. This is one of our "urban" locations in Juneau.
Hope you folks don't have severe weather, I don't miss the tornadoes. Going to enjoy the powder for a bit.

Yikes. That makes me nervous. Do you still live in the same place?

Every time I see clips of Alaska on a Discovery Channel program it always looks gorgeous. I bet it is unreal in person. Alaska is definitely up there on my list of places to visit before I die.

I've visited AK. Never Juneau, but Anchorage and the interior, Denali area, and Fairbanks.
Almost too much beauty there, but not enough people.

Yea, we haven't moved and unless we find a really good deal in the next couple of months I guess we will stay there another year

I'm pretty sure it will just be a light sprinkling.
Yeah I said that back in April. Think how dumb I feel now.
James Spann has said and written several times today that the threat we face this evening is no where near that faced on April 27th. Everyone in the area should take it seriously, though.

Nothing this far north, thankfully. It has been windy as hell today, though. Y'all be safe.

that day was predicted to be that bad before it happened. everyone knew it was gonna be one of the worst days ever. this will definitely not be as bad, but it only takes one.

I'm worried about it. They say north Alabama could get bad. I don't have a basement in this house.

It's not supposed to be as bad as April 27th. Which general part of Birmingham do you live in? Do you have a room or bathroom without windows?
