I'm listening to James Spann's sister station that I linked and they are telling me about tornadoes. He's not as good as James Spann.
There is a tornado causing grass fires because transformers have blown near Dewitt.

Didn't I read that you are doing an internship? You shouldn't drive to work in it. You can either get to work early or be a little bit late. I promise that no one will hold it against you if you are a little late waiting for the weather to pass.
Yeah and they have flexible hours. If it is super serious I obviously wouldn't drive through it. I usually show up between 8:30 and 9:00, so hopefully most of it will be gone by then. It will probably still be raining and I just dislike driving in the rain.

Matches perfectly the spotters just seeing the tornado.

I hope they cancel my bio class in the morning but not my bio lab in the evening

God, y'all be safe.
This thread is giving me flashbacks.
It really is a conundrum that I find myself in - I just popped 2 Valium to calm my nerves but that will most certainly thwart my plans to hold vigil all night.
If the husband was here, I wouldn't be so worked up because he sleeps like a colicky baby - a fart wakes him up. So I could be at ease knowing if shite goes down, he would wake up and get us prepared.
Me and the boy and the girl? Sleep like the fricking dead. An airhorn in our faces won't wake us, so some damn sirens 3 miles away won't stand a chance.
Thus, my need to feel like I need to stay up all night.
frick rain, frick storms, frick wind, frick tornadoes, and just frick weather in general.
I'm salty. Can y'all tell?

It shouldn't be here till early in the morning. I'd go to bed and set an alarm for around 2am (or later if you feel comfortable with the advisory being pushed back). That way you get sleep and get to be up in order to prepare for your impending doom.

ETA: gl, Marty. Hope all is well with you and your kin.

I remember the one when you were on valium at your lakehouse.
Still makes me LOL
I'd be up all night too. It's not supposed to hit until early morning now... It could settle down as it moves east.

My house shimmied a little bit other than that just strong winds and heavy rain here but it finally passed threw. We did have confirmed touch downs a mile north of us and another one ran the same track right behind it and had "strong" rotation.

I hope so but with it being pushed back, it may cancel/affect school start time. Ack.

James Spann will tell you.
Tornado Watch has been cancelled for a bunch of counties except far eastern Arkansas.
ETA: Memphis is issuing Severe Thunderstorm warnings vs Tornado Warnings for some of the storms that are coming through.
