Those damn combine results always sandbagging athletes to save money during negotiations. How rude.

He also goes to Buffalo. I'm sure Auburn puts on a more legit testing than them.
Also, if it was to his advantage, Tre Mason would have ran again and tried to beat his 4.5. Mason decided against it. I'm going to call bullshite on this pro day times are faster

I agree with Ford and I still would take Clowney before him.
Clowney can be taught to "see." You can't teach physical talent though.

Im not trying to flame the kid, he is a great player.
All I am saying is is that something was wierd about those combine times. People are getting hand timed 40's at 4.31 and then getting officials at 4.46. That is a pretty huge difference in 40 yard times. The times at these pro-days seem to be closer to the hand times that the combine was showing. I also rememeber hearing on TV that the "start" time on the officials was still triggered by hand and the finish was laser. May have heard that wrong.
Point is, the majority of people will have better times at their pro days than at the combine.

I would never question his physical ability, but I think he was calculated in the way he played this year. He probably expected to take a beating over it. Hell he will still be drafted high if not #1

The Auburn coaches risked Ford's career and life to play on that bad disc/back/spine, and the NFL trainer in all his wisdom let Dee know that he wasn't healthy enough to play football anymore, and certainly not during the NFL Combine where all athletes are measured equally using the same tools and instruments.
You could easily tell how ready Ford was to destroy Clowney at the Combine. Ford called him out, called him a dog, said he was better, wow, Dee Ford was the Pre-Combine Champion and his talk dominated Clowney. Now most people never heard of Dee Ford before November, but that was just Ford's Fuel For the Fire, he know's he's the GOAT.
Back to the the EVIL Auburn Coaches: The audacity to make this cripple, Dee Ford, who would've walked through Hell or high water to compete with Clowney heads up at the Combine and proven who's #1 (but as mentioned couldn't b/c the trainer told him he shouldn't) has now been forced back to promote Auburn's glory at a Pro Day....knowing full and well that the Pro Day exercises are much like the deathly drills that could have killed him at the NFL Combine. frickin' Savages! Gus don't GAF about Ford, he was just some cool used beat up car he wanted to show off to some buddies.
I wonder what Clowney is thinking right now? Could it be:
"Auburn must have some magic water, b/c that kid said he was broken at the Combine."
"oh shite, that cripple is still going to try to play?"
"oh snap, I told his arse to quit at the Combine?"
"4.59....not fast enough for Puma to sign him."

,
Hi Pussy, I know that Dee Ford meant a lot to you guys, and that's neat, but 80% of people who watched football this past year didn't and don't know who he was and most don't cate.
Think about it, his shining moment the past year, the most attention he ever got on this whole board...is when he talked about Clowney...when he just TALKED about Clowney.
