It does count. Now if we had gotten in with two losses, one of which was a 30 point blowout to an unranked team, then maybe you’d have a point.
Bama's best win was against MSU.
OSU had one more loss, but beat two top 10 teams and lost to another.

You're the only one salty. Bama fans get the privilege of enjoying another national title while y'all are having to hang west division banners. Use all the laugh emojis you want. It's not hiding the absolute jealousy that is evident in every post you make. I mean it's just college football.

Look around, Muffet...you're pretty much out here by yourself while everyone's laughing at you...hell, even I'm starting to pity you, and that ain't like me.

One loss maybe. Not winning division, never. Current system is worse than BCS, we just replaced the computers with 12 bodies who get to enjoy an all expense paid vacation for six weekends to pick someone the TV rating people will approve.
So you're saying if Auburn and Alabama comes into the Iron Bowl undefeated and Auburn comes away with a close road loss. You don't think they would be one of best 4 teams in the country? Especially if Pac-12 and Big 12 conferences are down. I'm not trolling I personally would consider Auburn one of the four best teams, but you're argument they wouldn't get in.

1. Why have Divisions or Conference Championships if they mean nothing ? Every sport has a play in system that usually involves dividing the teams and allowing them to play their way into it. CF is a beauty contest, judged by a small pool of people who have one interest ($).
2. If everyone played the same schedule, then you could determine that one league is down. Today we base it on one team being beaten by another team in a different Conference, so we condemn the entire Conference.
3 If you can not win your Division, you do not belong in the playoff. If you do not win your Conference, you do not belong in the Playoff. Having it happen twice is a joke to the system. I think most of the Country agrees.

Another on the field accomplishment not perpetuated by a Committee. Auburn didn't pass the "eye test" for that victory, but did it on the field.

I rather see a banner being placed up rather than some Nationally #2/We almost won/participation rings. (See L7U)
