We have played poorly in our first couple of games the last three seasons under Gustav, and until that changes I won't be optimistic.
It's interesting that you brought this up. Last season the Clemson game was really, really unusual. I mean, on the one hand your Oline gave up 11 sacks. That stat standing alone would make anyone think that the game was a blowout. It's a testament that the score was kept so close. And Clemson was a very good team, so it isn't like Auburn had a really, really bad game. Had you been able to pull that one out it might have changed the whole course of the season.

All about trusting a new QB. That should not be a problem for Gus this year.

I hope not. The Auburn/Georgia game is always entertaining and a nail biter. One I fret over all week prior to the game. Stidham and Gus will need their A-Game until the Oline can get in syn with one another. Once that happens, I see no reason Auburn can't be a force next season. Your Defense should be absolutely nasty.

Until auburn proves they can beat us at home, that's a loss...if the game eas in college station it would be flipped

Defense will be the best AU has had the last 10 years, and they have depth. AUs Offense will be different than any Gus has had while at AU. This is the first time he has had a proven returning Passer. Look for Stidham to make different type throws this year and look for the TE to be a bigger target. This Offense will look like it did in 2009, but with a QB who can pass more than 15 yards downfield. I think AU goes into the UGA Game undefeated.
Looking back through this thread at some straight richness.
