It depends on who wins their conference tournament that didn't win the regular season.

I didn’t know that. Is the cbi an option or is that catered to small schools ? I didn’t know it existed till a few years ago and don’t remember it ever having an sec team

CBI is a pay your way in tournament. Pretty much 90% of Aggies wanted Eric Hyman fired, murdered, burned and eaten because he put A&M in the CBI in 2014 after saying that Kennedy had to "make the postseason" that year to keep his job.
He tried to salvage that shite show by making the opener against Wyoming free for all and still they only drew 1,400 fans.
There were memes all over the place and it got so bad that Hyman and other donors filed lawsuits to get them removed from the net.
Edit: What a TERRIBLE sequence to end the half by Vanderbilt.
