Mmmm... well... I'd love to see Auburn knock off Clemson but I'm not prepared to go all in on it. I do think Auburn has a good chance of hanging in there with them for 4 quarters but I think the edge in talent goes to Clemson and they pull this one out.

No doubt. Herbie picked Auburn as a dark horse national champion that year thanks to Cam's obvious talent and the rest of the depth and experience that existed on the team. In 2009 the same team minus Cam lost several games narrowly. That often bodes well for the following season. I began hearing chatter about Cam in the spring and if he reached potential winning the SEC was a real possibility...in those days that meant basically getting shot at a National title as well.
The Cam looked sloppy is probably just poor memory...the real truth is the coaches hadn't figured out how to use him completely yet. It only took Shula about 4 1/2 seasons to figure it out when his job was being threatened toward the end of 2014.

Auburn D can't gel with so much turnover at DC. That and no Casanova McKenzie or Chris Frost means long day for Auburn. Track meet with the fighting Dabo's winning by 21+ in the end.

So what's the scoop on Auburns QB situation after the first week of Fall ball?

Auburn does seem to surprise everyone in the years that most people are counting them out or ignoring them.

That's just how shitty Auburn's offense was last year........it made Kevin Steele look competent as a DC
