Now that he's in custody, I expect a little bit more to start coming out. I doubt APD is very forthcoming, until his first hearing, but the DA and his attorney will start telling their version of events soon, I'm sure.

With 70 people there, word of mouth and invites can bring in a lot of people from a long way away. Someone who lives there could have invited someone who told someone else about a get together who told the thugs from Montgomery. I ended up at several parties in Auburn just by word of mouth, sometimes the house of someone I had never met. We were just friends of friends.

Very true. In fact that is how I heard of most parties, but wasn't this an invite party? Even if you heard of it, would you just show up at an invite only party?

A lot of these types of parties in the summer are spread by word of mouth. People drive up from Montgomery, Tuskegee, columbus, Phenix city, etc.. They can go from tame to extremely large very quickly. My guess is there was a bit of promaitional advertisement involved as well, be it from social media or whatever else

I can't believe how eaten up with "bammer" HVC (aka. Dumbfrick Earle) and CrimsonProf are over there. Just two more Harvey Updykes. They really are what is wrong with sports fans these days.
It is so nice to have mostly normal fans here on TD from all schools to discuss thing with.

It had never crossed my mind that this horrible tragedy would be turned into ATPB II. I just went over and took a gander at tidefans and all I can think is really? Your love a particular school/football team makes you so insane that you come up with wild rumors an innuendo? And before anyone points it out, yeah, each team has it's resident whacko's.

According to Willie, who called in the finebaum show, the party was advertised on facebook and even gave the gate codes. Supposedly, he knows someone who goes to AU that lives in the apartment complex.

There's crappy elements in every fanbase. It's not a fan issue, it's a human issue. Just as people said things about Katrina, the tornado's in TTown and so forth. Best thing to do is avoid those folks and let them drown in their own misery. In a case like this, it's not even worth the effort to address. They're not worth the time.

Honestly, I have given up on all the AU boards. It's either tow the AU line or you're not a "real Auburn man".

Nothing. I occasionally google or look at old Rickey Stokes articles to see if I missed anything, but I don't believe anything has broke.

The admins over here put a stop to that shite(for the most part) rather than encourage and get involved. They also allow all sides of a story rather than just one and deleteing all opposed.

I have a friend that is with DPD, fairly high up, and asked him about it and he said there is absolutely nothing. Very strange.

The gates codes are to call a resident to buzz you in. They dont have a code that just opens the gates. The reisdents use clickers to get in, not codes.

I'm a little late this morning but still, thank god the hunt is over. Now lets pray that the police didn't mess anything up and AU can go forward with healing. Prayers to all the family members affected by this tradgedy.
