Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but they recently got a new sports editor who is on her 2nd or third week on the job.
The guy that she took over for was absolutely nothing but class. Here's to hoping that they'll find someone of the same caliber soon.

It hasn't.
All that was mentioned was it was Bama's fault that pic made the front page.

I wasnt aware the OANews was the only news publication to cover that shitshow. Now I know.

Doesn't matter who owns it. Layers of decisions by several people led to that being published and glorified like that. Very disappointing.
I think we need to pin a big, long thread full of conspiracy theories so that we can get to the bottom of this serious, serious matter.

That wasn't an Auburn newspaper IIRC. But whoever the editor is that allowed that to run should be fired immediately.
Endorsed.

It is scary that there are some people out there who actually think like that. Hopefully we can get another chart like the one below and get to the bottom of it!

What was the picture?
The newspaper ran with the frontal photo of LT's injury and fumble. Very distasteful and completely idiotic for them to do.

I'm sure the Opelika/Auburn is chocked full of an intricate hierarchy on a late Saturday print decision. Good call.

I have seen a close up of that play shown on ESPN and the SECN a good 30 times since the game. Should they all be fired?

Where did I say anyone should be fired?
The Romans had slaves fight to the death for the entertainment of the locals.

Was it in print or just on the web? I ask because usually the photo editors and web content editors are a different crew than the print editors and print photo editors. More discussion and a more thoughtful as well as thorough process goes into selecting a photo for the front page of a printed newspaper than for online. The photos selected online aren't vetted or thought out the same way.
If it was selected for the printed version then the Editor(s) and photo editor have some serious explaining to do because that goes beyond poor taste - printed front pages are far more thought out and held to a much higher editorial standard.
