Does this mean they get AAU before Alabama? Before Georgia?

But be proud for achieving such a high hurdle. Auburn men and women are certainly a bunch of special snowflakes.

The AAU is a Northern, Country Club-Type "Institution".

I hope Auburn never gets invited personally.

It's not really on our agenda. Do what you want, however, pertaining to your own University.

What a smart comment

"Founded in 1900, the Association of American Universities is composed of America’s leading research universities. AAU’s 62 research universities transform lives through education, research, and innovation.
Our member universities earn the majority of competitively awarded federal funding for research that improves public health, seeks to address national challenges, and contributes significantly to our economic strength, while educating and training tomorrow’s visionary leaders and innovators.
AAU member universities collectively help shape policy for higher education, science, and innovation; promote best practices in undergraduate and graduate education, and strengthen the contributions of leading research universities to American society."

Yeah no one wants to be apart of that.

Did they discover through their research that Bama cheats in football?

Sweet Summer Child.

The AAU is not the SEC's friend.

Research more, and you will loathe those rankings.

It is an old system that seeks to put money into non-Southern Universities, year after year.

That is why I said "Country Club."

No need for that.

Which is a sign of how much the SEC schools have invested into this over the last decade or so. A nice feather in our cap for everyone in the conference to hold that distinction.
