All that money and rich boosters, but trying to save a dollar on coaches.

UT has the money to go after any coach in the game, but since 2008 they have coach shopped at the 5 & 10 Store. Must save that dollar. Auburn is doing the same thing. Auburn needs to tell Jimmy Rane to get his fat arse up off some of that money.

Unfortunately, most of the high dollar coaches aren’t going to be Yes men for the boosters. They’ll have to get someone like Lance Leipold, Curt Cignetti, or Jamey Chadwell.

Sometimes, you can't give your money away. That's the position that Auburn put itself in when it Harsined it's former coach.

They might as well go ahead and hire Cadillac Williams. This next coach is basically going to be a 3 year placeholder.

It’s not the money, it’s that our job is viewed as toxic by a majority of coaches. Look what happened to Harsin. Then look at the last few coaching staffs at AU. It is pretty clear that boosters fingerprints are all over the staff hires. Lots of former players on staff with very little experience before being hired, Tells you there is lots of meddling.

Yep, and it might take a decade plus and several digs through the bargain bin before you find one worth a shite. You would think other schools would’ve learned from our foolishness.

Is that the new term for firing coaches who don't do their job?

Oh, they'll spend. When they hire some re-tread that no one wants like Hugh Freeze, they'll jack that money up to lipstick the pig as much as possible. Hell, they made Malzahn one of the highest paid coaches in football at one point.

Auburn's football program is just run by very stupid people. The end.

Three years? Next coach should be so lucky.

He didn't recruit, he ran off 3 coordinators in 2 months, he managed a net loss in the transfer portal then he got fired?

No Auburn's problem is they think they are a top 5 program in the country. They are closer to 15 than 5. So they are entitled to a top level coach and everything else is a failure.

That and their boosters run the show and that never works out.

Hard to recruit with no NIL money because your boosters threw a bitch fit. Hard to keep quality coordinators when everyone knew the boosters were going to get him fired by the end of 22.

No we don't. I dare you to show me any Auburn fan who believes that.

Yep. Top-15-20. We all know that and that's what we want to get back to.

Your fan base wrote a whole bunch of checks they couldn't cash the last 3 weeks. You better prepare because it is all about to come back on you with vengeance.

They pursued Kiffin, who is a name coach, but hardly a "top level coach". The guy has zero championships as a head coach in any league and has bounced around more than many guys twice his age. He was the only major name legitimately on Auburn's radar, unless you believe the crap about Swinney.

I got 3 weeks of the Auburn is a head and shoulders better program than OM, no way any OM coach would stay instead of going to God's favorite program Auburn. etc.

This shite is hilarious know. Have fun with Pontiac or Grimes.

This is a constant problem at Arkansas. (In addition to the random motorcycle wreck, etc.)
