Other than Auburn, why should anyone care?

What are you even talking about regarding Bama in this Auburn thread?
Yes, I’m sure Auburn has paid players or gave improper benefits in the past. All schools have done it, especially in the SEC.
But seeing a Gump talk as if Bama is innocent of paying for players is hilarious. The hypocrisy is too much.

You can reach your own conclusions as to the cause, but no sense getting mad by facts.
My conclusion on the cause is Bama has been on a historic run with Saban since these recruits have been born. Bama is a household name at this point. Kids still want to play there, for now. But It’s just a matter of time before they regress towards the average. DeBoner is no Saban.
As for this season, Auburn is playing wait-and-see with the new NIL rules and how they’re enforced before they make their final push. Other schools won’t be able to fulfill all their promises to their recruits because of the new rules, and Auburn will flip enough to be back in the top 15 in rankings. And there’s always the portal. They’ll be fine.
Does that sound mad to you? I just don’t like hypocrites.

To answer your question, you seem a little mad, yes, but mostly you simply come across as highly unintelligent.
For one, I haven’t said anything remotely hypocritically here. I provided one possible explanation for Auburn’s newfound recruiting troubles. I didn’t attach any value judgement to that opinion, nor did I even suggest Alabama hasn’t paid players. My initial post had nothing to do with Alabama, but naturally you and the other Auburn diehards can’t disentangle anything related to Auburn, without weirdly deflecting and making it about Alabama. Hope that helps explain how you and the others got so confused.

Don't we have a more recent Natty than you guys?
Not to mention Final 4 appearances.
I really appreciate everyone's interest in Auburn athletics.
