14 different schools have the same partnership. And it’s completely unnecessary. The reason Delta formed this partnership is the same reason United created the Aviate program. It’s a pipeline to help lessen the blow of the looming shortage which appears could be disastrous. Auburn isn’t special.

There are 14 schools that get the same treatment. What are you confused about? The defined path is a job at a regional airline, requiring them to build time in the same manner as everyone else. Do you think Delta is hiring exclusively from that pool of pilots?

Yes you are correct, The University of Pheonix has one of those Delta A-320 Sims, just like every other school. Auburn isn't anything special.
How much time do you have in this ?

Phoenix might not, but ATP does. You can walk in with a wet commercial certificate, a degree in basket weaving (or none at all), 1500 hours, & $4K. Then spend a week on those fancy sims and walk out with the same certificate those fancy Auburn grads have.

Funny enough, I never had any time in the Microsoft sim stuff, but all of my students who did were the absolute worst. They’d tell you about their 15K hours in a 777 on Microsoft flight sim but couldn’t land a Cessna with a crosswind.

What don't you understand about this? First ATP has the same desk top sim I posted a photo of in the post. Those sims are pure trainers and are not motion sims or certified for actual logging of flight time (you can use it toward min requirements). The Airlines do not recognize them. Now Flight Safety is a different story.
You are FOS if you think $4k will get you anywhere qualified for a real pilots job besides sitting next to a guy who owns a twin and you are improperly logging flight time. ATP is really the biggest rip off in aviation, but it is the quick way of getting a rating.

Never wasted my time with desk top sims. They only serve as a procedure trainer and show you how to punch buttons properly.

ATP has dozens of airline & FAA recognized FTDs, and they also have full motion sims for the 737, A320, CRJ200, E145, & E175. Airlines are sending entire new hire classes to ATP to get their ATP/CTP done.
Why do you keep making things up when all of this info is so readily available? This image is straight off their website.

Because I have gone through the program years ago when the FAA would not just accept Military Rating for Certificates. ATP in Atlanta would give you a quickie course if you signed the check and that is pretty much the only benefit of ATP. They may have upgraded the last few years to try and compete with Flight Safety, but I know their program from yearS ago.
How much do they charge per hour in the A-320 SIM ?

No idea, my company paid for it. Their listed prices are $4K for the ATP/CTP course. $8k for the CTP course, ATP rating & check ride. ~$7K for a stand alone A320 type rating.

Big rip off. They teach you to pass the checkride and not conduct actual flight training, then you take the checkride with one of their approved list of designees. Like I said, write the check and graduate. Coming from a military background I just shook my head. Then I wrote the check.

No, When Delta hires them it is public knowledge. I'm sure UAB and Bama are on their list for baggage handlers and flight attendants.
