From #10 to unranked.

It is the Auburn way. I look forward to being unranked next year. Truly great things will be done.

Seriously though, why are things the complete opposite when it comes to expectations at Auburn?

How does it feel for other teams to ride out a season where they are halfway expected to be ranked from the beginning of the season, to the end.

Auburn reminds me of a program that is put on a cliff each year and is told to jump.

Sometimes we jump and grow wings and fly into the sunset.

Sometimes we just frickin hit the sharp rocks at the inevitable bottom and kill ourselves and our season.

There is no in-between... because "screw mediocrity".

I say we just let this season "hit the rocks" this current season and save our efforts for 2019.

Thank YOU for not doing enough to take care of your own program to begin with. Handle business, and all is taken care of. Florida is hard for you, we know.

And yet the same Auburn fans will be touting their national championship ready team next summer.
Happens every single year .
In fairness, other schools do it too.
It’s why I just sit back and grin during all of those preseason prediction threads.

Don’t take it to heart too much.
It’s just football.
Most teams’ fans feel similarly (Bama fans excluded).

This is why Auburn being shitty was so predictable. Has Auburn had back-to-back good seasons in their history?

They're staring down a 1-7 SEC season if they don't win in Oxford this weekend. If Arkansas can win their home game against Vandy, Auburn will once again find themselves in a tie for last in the West.

Recruiting see the writing on the wall if your team is bad they will avoid that team.

This was Les Miles. 9 or 10 wins a season. You have that for the most part with Gus, so you have to ask yourself if you can hire someone better?

Most LSU fans and other fans were saying who did we just get? Is this a joke of a program for LSU? Now you see it was not a joke at all. Also not breaking the bank to find the right coach. A smart move from the AD!

Also been hearing Auburn was a quarterback away from being a great team. This year it did not workout that way.

Gus' record at Auburn is 45 - 22. He's been there five years, so that's averaging 9 wins a season.
