I saw that Harsin is bringing his DC with him from Boise. Are most of the positions expected to be filled with Boise guys?

Latest is that he is hiring Saban to coach DBs but Saban wants to keep it hush hush until after the NC game

I doubt it. But he has a staff that works well with him so I expect to have some Boise coaches.
IMO it’s better than the same old retreads we hear every time we hire an assistant.

Harsin is not going to work well with the Barner Fambly.

Seems to be doing fine for now. If he wins games they will become less of an issue.

Yea - I'd seen that they were after a few SEC guys for position coach positions, which screams get some veteran recruiters in here to go along with our guys from Boise.

That sort of mix would make sense.

At least when I see those names I know Jimmy Rane isn’t standing over his desk with a list of coaches to hire.
But I think he will need and hire some SEC guys

He's likely making a pretty big mistake if he doesn't at least hire a couple of good old fashioned SEC bag men like Rodney Garner and Lance Thompson. Gotta have someone on staff who understands how you get shite done down here.

They were apparently chasing Dell McGee from Georgia. I gotta imagine he'll go get 1-2 of those type of SEC recruiting war veterans.

Come on... he’s a new coach from the other side of the country, but it’s still Auburn and we will have our bag men!
Where in the world is Lance Thompson now? I had forgotten he was at Auburn once.

He will have a much younger staff than Gus. Getting rid of some of the dead wood from the past. I would not expect him to bring in Boise Coaches as Coordinators, but he will have some on staff and might give them a "Co" title. Look for him to beef up the recruiting staff and totally change the S&C Program. Something that has been lacking the last 7 years.

He is the Recruiting Coordinator and DL coach at FAU, apparently. He's the poster boy for "I dunno, we need a guy who can do some cruitin, what's Lance up to these days?"

He's coached at South Carolina, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee and LSU

FAU

I think he has worked at half of the P-5 programs in the Southeast. And that's because he has a very $pecial $et of $kill$. Unfortunately Lance also has a tendency to recruit moms harder than he recruits the players.
