Being a Saints, LSU and Hornets fan, how'd that come about?

dont fret Aubies secretly we are afraid Bama will fall on their collective rearends into a big steamy turd this yr. New secondary and lost our best pass rusher and our fresh all american LB blew out every ligament in his knee. No worries here.

Saints - i'm from Louisiana brah
LSU - grew up cheering for them and graduated from there
Hornets - was a Jazz fan back in the day. don't really care anymore
Giants - fan since i was young. my hometown had their Double-A ball club for 20 years. dad worked for them. got to know some of the players who went on to the Giants.

Chizik and Malzahn are world-class, IMO.

You still have Saban though.

No fricking way. They are good but aren't in the same class as a Saban,Meyer,Brown, etc.

true but he is too old to run with the 20yr old receivers

Granted, Saban could conquer a small country with 11-man squads of college kids as his soldiers if he wanted. He's just a one-of-a-kind, and I have no argument.
But I think Chizik will work his way into "elite" status. As far as Malzahn is concerned, he's one of the very best OC's in the game.

Yes, but this shouldn't really be directed at Auburn. You could look at UGA for instance. They've had Richt for like 9 years, and he hasn't won them an NC, he's been close, but never really done it.

I just feel that this staff won't accomplish a national title. in fact, i really don't think they'll maintain an effective year in and year out answer to Saban and company.
Then we should get a new staff.
The fear is returning back to the Barfield days.
Auburn changed when Pat Dye was hired. I have some fear that Saban will continue to dominate, but Auburn will always answer with a stronger and stronger program. Bama will dominate some years and then Auburn will dominate.
I really don't think either team will dominate the other one for a long period of time. Alums/fanbase/AD's/ won't stand for it.

He's a good coach but I think he relies on his assistant coaches too much to be considered "elite"

I don't care for his high school offense but it did help Auburn produce a lot more on offense last year

it's directed at Auburn because they have to live underneath the miserable shadow cast by Alabama and our trophies. and people can act like it doesn't matter, but it does.
after having seen the responses in this thread, i will say ONE thing. i fricking hate auburn's guts. but IF they get to the big game, RIGHT NOW i'm hoping they'll destroy whoever they play and get to relish the feeling. i mean, i'm sure i'll take that back eventually if they get there. but that's how i feel right now.
not that they'll get there! (had to say it, it fits in with the thread)

Way too much of a blanket statement. Skeptical, certainly, thought a former dc was a joke...no.
