Tre Mason is the best of them. The argument against will be that his line in 13 was stout but he had 1k in 2012 with nothing else on offense and a shite line that quit on the team.

You wouldn't rank Carnell Williams in the top 5 for Auburn running backs?

#2 all-time leading rusher and #1 in career rushing TDs doesn't deserve to be in your top 5?

James and Bostic aren't on any top 10 list for Auburn, career or single season so not sure how you justify them as top 2 all-time.

And I love Stephen Davis, but he's nowhere #2 all-time or even top 5. OP asked specifically about their college careers only, and frankly Davis isn't top 5 AU backs of of the last 25 years. I got Cadillac, Ronnie Brown, Tre Mason, Ben Tate, and Rudi Johnson all above Davis

Yeah, don't know why CAP is getting such a bad rap from Auburn fans. Dude only has the 3rd best single season rushing yards in Auburn history is all.
