Auburn fired Malzahn in December, knowing that they might as well get a jump on a new coach, because Malzahn would have been certain to be fired after 2021, with the apocalyptic season that is coming.
We'll probably go 6-6/7-5 this fall, with 3/4 SEC wins. It sucks, but you gotta start somewhere.

We were not able to sustain success under Gus.
Harsin will either build a consistently competitive program, or he will be fired.
I personally think he can win at Auburn.
Gus won some big games, but never built a consistent winning program.
Many of our losses under Gus were big blowouts to top teams.
If Harsin can build it where we consistently compete, win our share, and don’t get our shite pushed in by the top 5 teams, I think he will stay.

Ask me in three years. We will get a decent idea of recruiting in 2022 and 2023 with this staff and expect a little turnover in assistants. I will tell you what I think in 2024.

Nonsense? You were terrible THIS year. 6-5, and should have been 4-7. You have NOTHING at WR. You have two scholarship running backs, and I still believe Tank Bigsby may take the "Boobie Whitlow" path out of town. Your OL was a bunch of turnstiles, and you have one of the worst starting QB's in the SEC. Where do you think all these wins are coming from? You're staring 2012 right in the face, after so many years of lost recruiting classes.
